The son of legendary musician and producer Sello ‘Chicco’ Twala, Longwe Twala, who was recently released from a rehab facility is reportedly ready to tell the world what happened to Senzo Meyiwa back in October 2014.

A local publication reports that a close source to Longwe and Chicco Twala revealed that the son of the veteran musician is a changed man after spending several months in rehab for drugs.

“Longwe is sober, and he’s a changed man now.”

Chicco’s son is one of the people who were present at Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus, Gauteng when Meyiwa was shot dead in October 2014.

Longwe was allegedly welcomed back home by his family last month and the source adds that he’s ready to come clean about the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper.

The legendary musician Chicco Twala made headlines in January 2020 when he handed his son over to the Diepkloof police station in Soweto for allegedly stealing his girlfriend’s cellphone.

Chicco also revealed in a video clip that went viral on social media that he wished his son would rot in jail if he was the one who killed Senzo Meyiwa.

A source also told the publication that Chicco has reconciled with his son since he’s changed his ways.

“Chicco is excited that his son is a changed man. The father-and-son had a heart-to-heart conversation and Longwe is prepared, to tell the truth about Senzo.”

The publication also reports that the defence teams of the four men formally charged with the killing of Meyiwa have applied to the National Director of Publication Prosecutions to have charges against them dropped.

Advocate Mshololo who represents Fisokuhle Ntuli, one of the five men accused of killing the soccer star revealed in June that a 2019 docket recommended the prosecution of Longwe, Kelly Khumalo, Gladness Khumalo (Kelly’s mother), and her younger sister Zandi Khumalo, Tumelo Madlala and Mthokosizi Twala (Meyiwa’s friend) and Maggie Phiri, a neighbour accused of cleaning up the crime scene.

Mshololo added that the charges contained in the second docket were for murder and defeating the ends of justice.

Following a few weeks of speculations about the status of her marriage, Mpho Maboi has clapped back at online rumours.

The sports presenter was rumoured to have split from her retired soccer star husband Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane.

Last month, Mpho Maboi fuelled speculation she had split from the former Bafana Bafana star after she reverted to her maiden name on her social media accounts.

Fans of the couple were alerted to rumours all was not well by controversial celebrity blogger Musa Khawula who shared his allegations on Twitter.

Mpho and Reneilwe married in 2018 and share two children together. However, as of late, the two have not been seen publicly together on their social media accounts

On Instagram, Mpho last acknowledged Reneilwe in a birthday post on June 9 2021. The TV and radio personality also did not acknowledge her wedding anniversary in March on social media, as she would previously do in the past.

Reneilwe last posted a picture of Mpho Maboi on his Instagram feed in September.

This week, Musa stirred the pot again with rumours that Mpho Maboi and Reneilwe had gone their separate ways

Reposting a picture of the star in a luxury BMW, the blogger tweeted: “Mpho Maboi showing off her car after divorcing Refiloe Letsholonyane who is heavily in debt and had his car repossessed by BMW”.

Musa was referring to a local publication report which claimed that Reneilwe had been taken to court after he allegedly stopped paying instalments on his BMW 118i. However, Musa incorrectly referred to Mpho’s spouse as “Refiloe”

Spotting the tweet, Mpho Maboi clapped back: “Do you know I bought a car? And who’s Refiloe? Talk about me being back on radio dawg. At least that’s a fact!”.

On Friday 1 June, Mpho Maboi made her radio return to Kaya FM on the drive-time show.

And despite the rumours, Reneilwe showed his love and appreciation for his partner by commenting on her Instagram post. He replied under her post: “Congratulations are in order. Mazikhale Ke [Let them talk].

According to PEOPLE, Jerry is asking for spousal support and for her husband to pay her legal fees.

The documents added that Jerry does not want the court to award support to her estranged husband.
In her filing Jerry said that she is “unaware of the full nature and extent of all assets and debts, and will amend this Petition when the information has been ascertained”.

The pair tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Spencer House in London on March 4, 2016, before holding a wedding service at Fleet Street’s St. Brides Church the next day.

The media tycoon – who owns both The Times and The Sun in the UK – was first married to Patricia Booker, with whom he had Prudence, 64, before splitting from her in 1967.
He then married his second wife Anna Maria Torv later that year and the couple had Elisabeth, 53, Lachlan, 50 and James, 49 together but he went on to marry Wendi Deng in 1999, just days after his divorce from Anna. However, Rupert and Wendi – who have children Grace, 21, and Chloe, 19, together – divorced in 2013.

Meanwhile, Jerry previously had a long-term relationship with rock legend Mick Jagger in the 1990s and has children Elizabeth, 38, James, 36, Georgia May, 30, and 24-year-old Gabriel with him but they parted ways in 1999 when she discovered that he had had an affair with Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez.
