“Nobody knew who Senzo was until he was attached to the brand Kelly Khumalo,” Kelly said in a TV interview. In his biography of Senzo, Decoding 666_9, The Inexplicable life of Senzo Meyiwa, Soweto Mandlanzi said Senzo and Kelly met at a function.

“At that time Kelly’s music career had not reached its peak but Senzo’s name was already a big brand among soccer fans,” said Soweto. He said Lucia and Senzo were both from Umlazi in Durban.

According to Soweto, when they first met, Senzo wasn’t really clued up about who Kelly was but he had seen her speaking with Lucia.

“He asked Lucia for Kelly’s number. Lucia orchestrated the meeting between Senzo and Kelly,” he said. Soweto dismissed Kelly’s claim that Senzo dumped his wife for her. He said: “It is not true that Senzo dumped his wife for her. I found that Senzo tried so many times to break up with Kelly. But it was impossible because Kelly would drive to Senzo’s place at night, wanting to see him.”

Soweto said Kelly met Senzo’s mother and it was clear she wasn’t welcomed into the Meyiwa family.

“At that point, Kelly was already aware of Senzo’s wife.”

South African DJ, Sithelo Shozi continues to fight her way to ‘justice’ following the official statement released by Royal AM founder Shauwn Mkhize. The Durban-based DJ Sithelo Shozi has leaked some DMs between her and Shauwn who pleads for them to meet up so they can sort out an “issue”.

Sithelo revealed that she had suffered various forms of abuse allegedly at the hands of her baby daddy, Andile Mpisane. She included his entire family when she said they all apparently witnessed one incident and they even rushed her to the hospital.

Releasing a statement addressing the issue, Shauwn said her family never witnessed any abuse and that her allegations are defamatory.

“I have been made aware of allegations made against my son, Andile Mpisane by Sithole Shozi on her Instagram account,” the statement starts. “I do not take lightly these accusations given my history and strong stance against gender-based violence. I do not and will never condone violence in any form or nature.”

“I would like to categorically state that neither myself nor my family have been witness to any alleged abuse. These allegations are false and defamatory. Given the nature, severity, and extent of these allegations, the matter has been referred to our legal team. It’s of the utmost importance that the law takes its course,” she said.

However, Sithelo Shozi leaked a private conversation between her and Shauwn, trying to prove that Shauwn is apparently lying about not knowing about the abuse.

In the DM’s, Shauwn pleads with Sithelo to meet up with her and asks if her mother would also like to be present. Other people would also attend this meeting including her brother, her sister and her brother-in-law implying that Andile needs a father figure in his life.

“I can’t do this alone, we have left this thing for too long. This thing affects us both,” the message from Shauwn apparently reads.

Sithelo then agrees for the meeting, saying it is what Andile needs in his but said her mother is not too involved with things.

In another message Shauwn apologises to Sithelo about a certain issue but says she cannot help her at that moment because she was busy with court.

“You and Andy are really stressing me now, I don’t know what to do anymore. I have spoken to both of you as a mother but it seems like my advices are not being considered,” she says.

She continues by saying she cannot force both of them to do anything.
