Blaq Diamond leave Ambitiouz Entertainment record label

South African Pop duo, Blaq Diamond has announced their departure from the Ambitiouz Entertainment record label.

Ambitiouz Entertainment for years has been a label that has nurtured and brought out great talents and also managed top-tier artists like Amanda Black, Emtee, Sjava, A-Reece, Priddy Ugly, and more.

Unfortunately, their past relationship with other artists and the scandals surrounding their split has left the label with some bad tags which are either financial concerns or some form of issues.

In a recent episode of “Podcast And Chill” with Mac G, the “Summer Yo Muthi” hitmakers revealed they’ve parted ways with Ambitiouz Entertainment and are now fully independent.

According to the duo, their split with Ambitiouz Entertainment was clean without any issues, they further revealed they’ve been away from the label since December 2021 and the move to part ways with the label was inspired by their decision to grow.

According to them, they wanted to break into the African market

“It was between sticking with the label or choosing growth. We wanted growth more than anything because we wanted to tap into the African market. There was a clear disconnect between our vision and theirs. It no longer aligned. It was nice working with them. We just want to go shoot to the other side,” Sphelele said.

The Sama-winning music duo said they signed to the label within 48-hours after award-winning singer Sjava played the song for Ambitiouz Entertainment around the same time A-Reece and other artists were leaving the label.

Blaq Diamond said they are on good terms with the label and would be open to working with them.

“We always made sure we had lawyers around. Even with us leaving Ambitiouz, we had to get lawyers to clear everything up,” they said.

South African businesswoman, Shauwn Mkhize aka MaMkhize has reflected on her BET Awards experience last month, including walking the red carpet.

Speaking to Metro FM, the Royal AM boss gushed on being a guest at the awards ceremony aimed at black entertainers.

Speaking to breakfast show hosts Mo Flava and Khutso Theledi, MaMkhize unpacked her adventure at the BET Awards.

MaMkhize as well as DJ Zinhle – who both have their own BET Africa reality shows; Mam’Mkhize: A Thanksgiving and Unexpected respectively – were two local stars who scored an invite to the event.
She said: “It has been an amazing experience. The production was so amazing..I would love to bring it to South Africa”. She added: “I have noticed two things, the production and the stage. The stage was big and performances moved from stage to stage”.

MaMkhize then moved on to talk about walking the red carpet. Of it, she praised the quality of the red carpet and the impeccable organization.

She continued: “They don’t allow your own photographer to come in. They bring different media from different countries to come and enter.

“When you get to the interviewing stage, they already know everything about you, they ask you relevant questions, that’s how profound it is”.

When asked if she found US red carpets to be “better” than South African ones, she added: “We just need to do more”.

But whilst MaMkhize gushed over her experience, she was seemingly unbothered about social media commentary about her.

In one particular clip that went viral – posted by the star herself on TikTok – MaMkhize struts her stuff on the BET red carpet. The Kwa Mam’Mkhize star is seen striking several poses in front of a field of photographers. However, none of them seem to pay attention to her.

Celebrity blogger Musa Khawula tweeted: “Shauwn Mkhize at the BET Awards posing by herself with no one interested in taking a picture of her”.

And many tweeps agreed with the observation.

@ThuliXakana: “This has to be the moment she realised she isn’t as rich and important as she thought she was”

@_Hadebe_101: “It serves her right..she loves too much attention”

@sirboring_26: “Can see where Andile gets his attention-demanding ways”

“So my mom continues to defend Mondli knowing very well the trauma I’ve had to experience having this broken relationship with my dad. All because they could not sort out their issues and they could not voice out the things that they hate. Mondli has literally only seen his child once, my child has seen his dad once” says Mandy Malebo

Mandy Malebo details how she was assaulted by her own mother, because of the situation she has with her baby father Mondli Ngcobo. Social media compares Bonang VS DJ Zinhle without makeup – Photos causes a stir

Black Twitter President and troll Chris Excel has courted controversy once again after comparing rivals Bonang and Zinhle to each other.

This comes after Bonang revealed a flawless face – without any make-up – following her Nivea partnership this week.

But the Twitter personality was reminded of Zinhle’s own natural look, as seen in an episode of her BET reality TV show Unexpected.

On Thursday, Bonang shared a tutorial of herself applying her Nivea skincare products. And silencing her critics, the media mogul went completely make-up-free, bar from a pair of false eyelashes.

The video marked a rare occasion that a glamorous celebrity has gone without a full face of make-up on. On the flipside, Zinhle has shared many selfies without a stitch of make-up on.

Sharing side-by-side pics, Chris Excel compared Zinhle’s look to Bonang. The post split tweeps into arguing that the playing field was not level between the stars.

Another celebrity whose natural face won praise from fans was that of actress Natasha Thahane.

Before Bonang’s natural face reveal, tweeps compared her to the mom of one’s 2020 Garnier skincare advertising campaign.

TV host Bonnie Mbuli’s mental well-being and passion for accessories have inspired her decision to venture into the world of jewellery. The “Noughts + Crosses” star is celebrating the beauty of the South African people with her jewellery collection, “Bon Ami”, which launched in the country this week.

Bon Ami is a celebration of self, a tribute to one’s inner beauty and resilience. We all love to adorn ourselves with beautiful things and for my first collection, I wanted the adornment to speak to where people are at and what I think is important right now; self-care and mental well-being,” said Mbuli. Bon Ami’s first collection also aims to raise awareness about mental health.

Bonnie Mbuli’s new jewellery collection inspired by her mental health journey

“Mental health has been the cause that makes my heart beat because I know that without a healthy mind, living your life as the best version of yourself can become quite tough or near impossible, now more than ever in the world. People are finding it even more difficult to feel mentally whole and well.”+Each piece in the collection, which includes pendant necklaces, anklets and gold rings, comes with a message.

“I’ve found that one of the most important things to pay attention to is how one regards oneself and speaks of oneself. The messages on the pieces act as a reminder to treat yourself with a healthier mindset and positive self-speak.

“Affirmations for me are the first step in owning the realisation that we have the power to build and break our lives with our words. Speaking the things you believe about yourself is the first step to true transformation. What we think and speak is what we become. Words carry energy so it’s literally like wearing your affirmations.”
Addressing the preservation of her own mental wellness, Mbuli, who has been open about her struggle with clinical depression and anxiety for years, says it’s important to admit that you’re struggling. Accept that everyone at some point needs help with something, you are not weak for needing help.

“Also, most people don’t believe that the kind of help available out there actually works – it does. Lastly, we have to do the work it takes to get better, taking responsibility for changing our habits, shifting our environment and committing to habits that are proven to have a positive effect our minds and bodies is work we all have to do.

VIDEO: Kelly Khumalo knows who shot Senzo Meyiwa, says Julius Malema

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema says he is more than convinced that singer Kelly Khumalo “knows something” about the murder of soccer star Senzo Meyiwa.

“We hold a view, and a very strong view that Senzo was killed… and those people in the house know who killed Senzo. We are more than convinced. Personally, I’m more than convinced, Kelly knows, I’m more than convinced that she knows something [about Senzo’s death], and there must be a way where she must be held accountable. But it must be done in an orderly manner so that its outcome is not questionable.

Watch:

Malema also said he has no sympathy for Advocate Malesela Teffo, the former lawyer for the four accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial underway at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

Teffo dropped a bomb-shell on Tuesday, saying that he is pulling out of the case, citing reasons of being threatened by the Presidency, among others.

Malema says Teffo got things wrong, from the onset, by thinking that the case revolves around him and not the Meyiwa family who lost their son. He says as a lawyer, Teffo has set a wrong precedent, by talking loosely and disrespecting the courts of the country. However, the office of the President has rubbished the claims made by Teffo.

Malema addressed the media at the EFF headquarters in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon.

“We can be angry anyhow, but the courts must be respected. If he starts speaking like that to our judges, then everybody is going to do that – and then we will have nowhere to run to. So I do not believe there is any Cyril [Ramaphosa] who concocted anything on that guy. He is self-destructive and he’s got himself to blame. He throws people’s names loosely and he does not back them up with anything,” adds Malema.

TEFFO QUITS MEYIWA CASE

On Tuesday, Teffo withdrew from defending accused numbers one to four in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case being heard at the High Court in Pretoria.

Teffo says he has experienced harassment from the police and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). He adds that the NPA and police don’t want him to be part of the case, citing that he was considered a problematic advocate.

Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela refused to hear further argument from Teffo after he withdrew. Teffo then left the courtroom.

Five men are standing trial for the murder of the Bafana Bafana goalie who was shot and killed during a robbery at his girlfriend’s home, Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus in 2014.

On Wednesday, the Presidency noted and strongly refuted the claims made by Teffo. The Presidency says it finds these claims as baseless, mischievous, and harmful to the standing of the office of the President. The Presidency added that it does not participate in criminal investigations or trials and it is not involved in or any perceived or actual harassment of Teffo.

The Legal Practice Council (LPC) has confirmed that there are a number of complaints pre-dating the Senzo Meyiwa trial that are being investigated against Advocate Teffo.

These allegations relate to unprofessional conduct, raised directly with the LPC and judgments referred to the body, including by the judiciary.

Mzansi media personality and self-proclaimed Queen B Bonang Matheba may be in a celebratory mood, in the same token her fans are certainly not jumping for her joy. This comes after collaboration news between Bonang Matheba and Nivea made it to social media.

While reality TV star Bonang Matheba may have bagged yet another bag at her fans’ expense. Instead of her fans celebrating with her, things have rather taken a different direction as tweeps are gunning for Bonang Matheba’s head on a silver platter.

Certainly, tweeps are not jumping for joy, following the video and stills from her collaboration with the brand Nivea and their newest Luminous630 cream range. The anger came from, Bonang Matheba being seen applying the Nivea Lumunos630 cream on her face which is clearly covered with make-up.

Tweeps have taken to Twitter to drag Bonang Matheba over the obvious ‘hypocrisy’, as tweeps feels as though Bonang Matheba and Nivea are taking them for a ride and they do not respect them as reasoning people. Taking to Twitter, tweeps have voiced their grievances at both Queen B and Nivea and it does not look pretty at all.

“Putting cream on makeup, that’s not convincing enough” wrote Onalenna Riri.

Tweeps also feel as though Bonang Matheba had it easy because of her social standing and status. Tweeps are more convinced that somebody else should have be given this opportunity and not Bonang Matheba, who clearly has her fingers in all the pies.

Queen B continues to catch smoke on social media as fans are certainly not jumping for joy for this obvious blunder.
