Drama as two familes fight over Mampintsha’s body outside mortuary

The controversial family of the later Mampintsha has once again made headlines and topped the Twitter trends list for the wrong reasons, following reports that his mother Zamanguni Gumede, was denied access to his lifeless body at a Durban-based funeral parlor.

The musician succumbed to a stroke on Saturday morning, 24 December, following a short stint in hospital. Videos of the Mampintsha’s family wreaking havoc outside the Clermont Icebolethu funeral parlor in Durban, have garnered a lot of attention on social media. It seems the gqom star will not have a peaceful send-off if the videos are anything to go by.

The clips shared by IOL senior journalist Sihle Mavuso, have raised eyebrows as Mampinstha’s family is seething with anger after allegedly being denied to see his body prior to the funeral service. The families are allegedly at loggerheads over Mampinstha’s body and the funeral arrangements. In the video, the angry group can be heard berating Babes’ family and asking “what did she do to you” and “she only wants to see her son”.

It is no surprise that the families are at war again as they have been at loggerheads for a while now. There have been nasty words exchanged between them on social media.

However, people can also be reminded that the relationship between Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede have always been toxic from the get go. The two have never gotten along even with Mampintsha alive. It woud seem impossible for them to start getting along now, after such a toxic relationship and years of turmoil, emotional abuse and great deal of hatred between Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede.

Mampintsha’s memorial service will be held on the 29th December, 2022 at the ECC EThekwini Community Church and his funeral on the 30th December, 2022 at the International Convention Centre, Durban.

In 2020, Zama called out the Simelane family on social media for excluding her from her son’s wedding. She accused Babes Wodumo’s father of being a criminal and alleged that Babes was faking her pregnancy. In response, Babes returned the aggression and hurled insults at her. The family appeared to have reconciled in the latest season of Babes and Mampinstha’s Showmax reality show Uthando Lodumo, but war is brewing again.

The premier’s office and eThekwini Municipality will work together in supporting financial costs for Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo’s funeral, Times Live reported today, 28 December. The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government planned to assist the grieving family by bringing about 50 percent backing for the send-off. The musicians summoned to a stroke on Saturday morning, 24 December, and died at King Edward Hospital in Durban.

After a hearty search for the perfect venue to hold the South African star’s send-off, Mampintsha’s memorial service and funeral venues were confirmed.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday 29 December at eThekwini Community Church (ECC). Yesterday Babes Wodumo’s father Reverend Simelane welcomed everyone who wished to commemorate the musician’s life to respectfully come and send him off.

She added that the group put the province on a large scale with their music, not only nationally but also on a global scale. The new style that the trio under Afrotainment opened doors for many upcoming and new artists living in the province who loved music and dance.

“On behalf of the provincial government, we express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and followers of Mampintsha.”

“We will play our part to facilitate a decent send-off for this pioneering artist as he drops the mic for the last time,” the report quoted Dube-Ncube as saying. West Ink Records manager Sbu Ncube said that the family was taking everything one day at a time.

Diep City actress Nash Pilingane (Eve) robbed at gunpoint: I nearly died, they took everything from us

Diep City actress Nash Pilingane recently took to her Facebook account to share an ordeal she experienced in Cape Town.

According to Daily Sun, the actress revealed that she was held at gunpoint. This was after she requested a ride from The Milk restaurant in Khayelitsha.

Nash wrote “Dear friends of mine. I write this with tears streaming down my face after nearly dying this past Saturday on the R300 in Cape Town. We requested from the Milk restaurant based in Khayelitsha with my cousins and a friend, Guys we were meant to get picked up by a friend from the park when we asked him to drop us off”

The actress who plays Eve in the now-canceled Mzansi Magic telenovela Diep City claimed that the man took their belongings.

“Then he blatantly refused to drop us off and secondly he refused for me to take a weez in Khayelitsha just for him to stop at R300 and within a space of second, we were held at gunpoint. They took everything of ours and not his car.”

She then requested prayers, explaining that her year has not been going well. “I need prayers my friends because just this year, my phones were taken the same way. There is always a weapon involved and I don’t know what it’s going to take for all this to stop”

In 2019, TV actress Masechaba Khumalo also took to her Facebook account to share that she was held at gunpoint by robbers.

“In the early hours of yesterday morning, 5 armed men with balaclavas broke into my home. They pulled me out of my bed at gunpoint. My 11-year-old son was sleeping next to me. They then led me down the passage, checking every room to see who else was in the house. My 6 old son was asleep with his nanny in one of the bedrooms. My children’s nanny and I were led back to the main bedroom. We were forced to lay on our stomach, then tied up with cable ties with our hands behind our back and held hostage for over an hour while our home was ransacked. At one point, they didn’t know what to do with us. They argued amongst themselves but by Gods grace, they took a decision to leave us unharmed.”

The actress said no one was seriously hurt during the incident.

“They fled in my vehicle and with the assistance of my 11-year-old, we were able to get help from my neighbor, Nina Maritz, and her son Michael, who cut our cable ties and called for help. My family and I experienced what many South Africans go through on a daily basis. Many don’t make it out alive. Sending a prayer to anyone out there who has had a similar experience. My heart goes out to you. A big shout out to SAPS who acted swiftly and with care. My car was recovered in Alex, after a police chase, approximately 30 minutes after the call out, with most of the contents still inside. The assailants fled on foot and are still at large.”

Kanye West’s former business manager claims West has been missing for weeks

Kanye West has had a whirlwind year, in 2022. When the year began, Kanye was still celebrating his billions, courtesy of profitable partnerships with Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga. With the Yeezy brand, Ye exceeded every other rapper-led clothing line. As opposed to simply being a rapper collaborating, or having a niche, Kanye West built Yeezy into a true competitor to Nike’s Jordan Brand. However, one ill-advised interview on “Drink Champs” nearly cost him his career. Now, his former business manager is saying he’s missing.

Kanye West managed to succeed, in a very difficult avenue. In music, Kanye became the biggest rapper in the game. From 2004 until 2016, Ye was one of the top five most popular rappers in the game. Between the years of 2016 and 2021, Kanye West went from being $53 million in the hole to being a billionaire. While Forbes estimated Kanye at $1.8 billion and eventually $2 billion, Ye said he was worth $5.5 billion, later $6.6 billion, and then $10 billion. Conservatively, Kanye West claimed he was worth closer to $7 billion.

Kanye West is currently listed at $400 million as his net worth. Daily, the news about him goes from bad to worse. Recently, there were reports of Yeezy being $63,000 behind on office rent. As a result, Yeezy is facing eviction. Now, Kanye West’s former business manager says the embattled rapper is missing. The ex-manager is trying to serve Kanye with legal documents. However, he said Ye has been out of contact for weeks. This has made it difficult to serve him the papers.

Where or how to even begin to describe, explain, or break down what happened… Since whatever happens to ME affects people in my family. “But just to summarise it, We all know and I’m content with knowing that I will NEVER EVER BE PERFECT…infact I am aware that most people don’t actually care enough to know everything about certain things but it’s easy to comment and judge. Have perceptions about how I am, based on what’s said on social media platforms…Abantu don’t know other I am BLESSED to have so many important individuals who are in my corner at all times no matter what happening @choicekate for your TIME, RESPECT, SUPPORT, CARE & LOVE.”

Usher mourns death of grandmother Tina: I feel a bit lost right now

Usher is paying homage to his late grandmother. The music artist shared a touching tribute in honor of his grandma Tina, who, according to Entertainment Tonight, died at age 87 on Dec. 24.

“It’s taken me a few days to come to grips with the fact that my Grandma Tina is no longer with me,” Usher wrote on Instagram Dec. 26. “I’m praying for clarity and strength for all whom relied on her.” As for how Usher is personally coping with her passing, he noted, “I feel a bit lost right now.”

“Part of me is trying to be strong, for others,” he wrote. “The other half of me continues to break silently. We were just laughing days ago … I really thought we had more time.” Usher paired the message with a few photos of himself and Tina smiling together.

Recalling their final conversation, Usher shared in the caption that she lent him a lesson on timing: “Her last words to me were, ‘There’s a time for everything son …there’s a time to laugh, a time to cry…there’s a time to live and a time to die.’”
And in the midst of a difficult chapter, Usher is not only remembering his grandmother’s last words, but also what she stood for. He noted that her “life’s work” was in the service of others.

“Her daily devotion was to help those in need and she did just that,” he wrote. “When I was lost, she was always there when I called on her, no matter the hour or how long it took. When I was broken, confused, lost and most vulnerable. She saw something else…and was there to remind me of purpose, and that no matter what I was facing.”

While navigating this grief, Usher shared that he has soaked in a message of comfort he recently received.

“Someone told me just today, ‘Keep in mind that it’s only sad b/c we miss them and that’s us being selfish and rightfully so but it’s really a congratulatory celebration b/c they’re at the ultimate place forever!’” he wrote. “I believe that… she will be missed very much
