Sjava finally speaks on rape allegations, Angry fans want to thoroughly beat up Lady Zamar

Musician Sjava has denied raping Lady Zamar.
In a statement released by his record label Ambitiouz yesterday, Sjava refuted the rape allegation and also hinted that Lady Zamar might have opened the rape case against him in a bid to evade the defamation lawsuit he filed against her in the Johannesburg High Court after claiming on social media that he sexually violated and abused her.

“Ukokqla angimdlwengulanga u Lady Zamar. I did not rape her,” said Sjava who was yesterday pulled off the line up of artists scheduled to perform at the Cape Town International Jazz festival by the organisers as a result of the case.

He said the problem started in October 2019 when she made the accusation on twitter after his One Night With Sjava Show on October 27 last year.

He said on November 1 he sent a letter of demand to her manager requesting her to retract the false accusation but she ignored it.

He further said on November 13 his lawyers served a summons on her from the Johannesburg High Court demanding that she retract the statement.

He said instead the Collide hitmaker opened a case of rape against him on November 14 in Pretoria . He said he was only contacted by police from Thohoyandou on December 5 who questioned him about the alleged rape.

“I gave my statement. They also got some statements from the witnesses who were with us going to , during and coming back from the trip,” reads the statement.

Sjava said his lawyers sent Lady Zamar’s discovery of notice to her lawyers informing them of the lawsuit trial on February 24 this year.

See the full statement below:

Lady Zamar, through her PR manager Kim Sineke, declined to comment.

Future Kings – a mentorship initiative aimed at training teenage boys to responsible manhood – welcomed Sjava’s removal from the festival line-up.

“Future Kings also condemns the horde of Sjava’s fans who have gone out on a tirade to attack, insult and even threaten Lady Zamar for laying a charge of rape.

“This is an unfortunate indicator of how sexual violence is still trivialised in South Africa,” Rams Mabote, chief volunteer officer at Future Kings, said in a statement.

“We further commend Lady Zamar for taking this stand. We acknowledge how difficult [it is] for many women to come out and admit being raped and subsequently lay charges, especially if the alleged rape was committed by their partner.”

Halala! Its wedding bells for Zahara – She is getting married for real this time

Award-winning songbird Zahara may have found love in the arms of a pastor at church, but sis isn’t about to spill the tea just yet. But wedding bells may soon be ringing because the Queen of Afro pop may have found her Prince Charming.

According to the Daily Sun, rumours have been floating about that the star has been dating a pastor and the pair could be married by the end of the year. “I think this time she has found someone who matches her requirements,” the source said.

Zahara, who was in Cape Town after a weekend performance, spoke to Daily Sun over telephone.

“Where did you get this now?” she said, laughing.

“Well, yes. I might get married soon. Maybe before the end of the year. But I can’t reveal who it is.”

“She wants it to be a perfect wedding with only a few invited guests,” said the source.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Zahara said she wanted to keep her dating life private for now.

“It may be true, it may not. He may be a pastor, maybe he is not. I don’t really want to talk about it at the moment. All I can say is that I am happy,” she said, with a laugh.

She said that whether she is dating someone or not, she wants to abstain from sex until her wedding night.

“I want to wait. It is important to me. I want to make that sacrifice and it is my choice. I have also been very busy,” she added.

Zahara has opened up before about her search for a prince charming and reaffirmed that her man has to be God-fearing.

“If I get married, it will be a man of God, if he fears God. That is one of the main things for me.”

HHP’s family takes his wife Lerato Sengadi to court

HHP's family takes his wife Lerato Sengadi to court

A year has already passed since the passing of Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known as HPP.

But the feud between his family and customary wife Lerato Senagdi seems far from over.

The PR guru recently revealed that her late husband’s family is taking her to the Supreme Court of Appeals this Friday.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Lerato said the Tsambo family should answer why they are taking her to court because as it stands she hasn’t received anything from HHP’s estate after his death.

The widow went on to say she can’t put into words the emotional pain she has endured as the Tsambo family never gave her the dignity to grieve her late husband.

“What’s happening to me is nothing new in the black community. Widows have been attacked, victimised, shamed, stolen from and treated in the vilest way and degrading manner by in-laws once their husband pass. And because as widows we are at our most vulnerable, they succeed,” she said.

She also revealed that the support she has been receiving from her friends and family has kept her going.

“God, support from my friends and family, prayers & kindness from my beloved ones and strangers, therapy and most importantly the love my husband and I shared, it is limitless, it is for many lifetimes, it is real and the truth keeps me going,” she said.

She also praised Pearl as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, friend, mother and more.

“She has her own hair-care line called Black Pearl Hair … and launched the first ever MAC Collaboration in Africa EVER. Her project Queen Sono is Netflix’s first African original … before her, they had never done anything script to screen on the continent!”

‘COPS MOERED DAD WHO KILLED HIS 4 KIDS’

'COPS MOERED DAD WHO KILLED HIS 4 KIDS'

THE dad who allegedly killed his four kids is back in the police cells.

This after Lucas Phasha (50) went to hospital after he was allegedly moered by inmates.

But his family claimed he was tortured by cops and seriously injured his leg. His brother Nkwana (47) said they didn’t know why he was beaten as he co-operated with the police.

He said they were now seeking legal advice to take lawful steps against the police involved in his ill-treatment.

“I went to the cells on Monday to check on him. He suffered injuries to his feet. Lucas started giving the police information before he was arrested.

“He ran away from the village on the day he killed the children, fearing a mob would attack him. He’s the one who called and gave the cops the exact place where he dumped his children’s bodies,” said Nkwana.

Katlego (9), Tshepo (5), Joyce (7) and Adele (2) were allegedly killed two weeks ago by their dad after he had a heated argument with their mother, Sylvia Monyela (30).

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said they knew nothing about the claims of police attacking the suspect.

“In fact, we’re shocked because he co-operated. The complainant has all the rights to open a case with Ipid.”

Ipid spokesman Sontaga Seisa said they hadn’t received a complaint from the suspect. “He is welcome to open a case at any police station for us to conduct investigations,” he said.
