Actress Simphiwe Ngema under-fire for disrespecting her late husband Dumi Masilela

Actress Simphiwe Ngema recently announced her pregnancy on social media but her followers have expressed disappointment about how she has handled her pregnancy news.

One of her followers has found it weirdly inauspicious for the actress to announce her pregnancy on the death anniversary of her late husband Dumi Masilela.

In a tweet that has since gone viral, a seemingly disgruntled man has claimed that the late Dumi has been disrespected by the deliberate clash of dates.

” Simphiwe Ngema chose to announce her pregnancy on the anniversary of the day her late hubby was laid to rest. The timing is weird. She has known for a long time that she is expecting the choice of date to announce is deliberate. Disrespect to the dead for clout”,he said.

However, not everyone was happy with his remarks as the other portion of opposing followers felt that his tweet was misdirected and too harsh for the widow. Here are some of the comments that they have left on his timeline.

Zodwa WaBantu reveals Gomora’s Ntobeko Sishi has been ‘hitting’ her up via DM

Reality television star Zodwa Wabantu has revealed that she speaks to “Gomora” actor, Ntobeko Sishi.

Zodwa sat with MacG in the latest episode of #PodcastAndChill where she revealed a number of things about her life and answered some difficult questions. When asked by Mac if Ntobeko has hit her up via DMs (Direct Message) yet following her flirting with him publicly last month, Zodwa said that the two already speak.

“We speak via DMs”, she said.

She then went on to show Mac messages between Ntobeko and herself but refused to hand her phone over to him or have it be shown on camera.

When asked if he was going to be her next “Ben 10”, Zodwa said that she just wanted to have fun.

The star, who has had two public breakups explained why she preferred dating younger men.

“I like the energy they have to follow me around, helping me with my travelling. I don’t want an old man that’s going to ask me to wash their clothes for them and cook for them.

“They are then going to want to beat me up and cheat on me. Don’t forget that I once dated Mandla Mthembu so I don’t want to be controlled or managed”, she said.

She also added that she has never felt used by any younger man she has been in a relationship with. “I would not say that they use me because I love them.

“I allow them to wear the sneakers from Dubai, I am the one who buys the stuff but the problem is that they think they are now Chris Brown, they think they can start playing a different role,” she said.

Zodwa also went on to claim that she has slept with Thabo Mabogwane of Black Motion.

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi tried to teach his wife Rachel Kolisi how to dance and posted a cute Instagram video showing his efforts.

In the video, “Bhenga” by DJ Mata is playing in the background when Siya kicks off their impromptu dance lesson by telling Rachel he’s going to teach her two moves.

He then demonstrates said moves as Rachel watches, looking intimidated.

Rachel tries to copy what Siya is doing, but after seeing she’s struggling, he breaks down the dance into sections – starting with the hip thrusts. Rachel gives it another shot but is still struggling to catch on. Siya says, “relax just relax” and proceeds to add in the hand movements.

Maps Maponyane thinks #BoityEngagedByMaps is Ridiculous

Maps Maponyane called latest hashtag about him and Boity ridiculous.

Social media has been known for ‘killing’ people who have not died, cancelling those that don’t need to be cancelled and in the latest trend, users are now setting up celebrities with each other via hashtags.

Maps Maponyane thinks #BoityEngagedByMaps is Ridiculous

This week Twitter users saw the #BoityEngagedByMaps hit the top of the trends list. Where it started nobody knows but what we do know, is that Maps Maponyane (who the hashtag is about) is not here for it.

Media personality Maps and rapper Boity have fuelled romance rumours ever since that ‘friendly’ scene in Boity’s reality show.

In an episode of “Boity: Own Your Throne”, the rapper paid Maps a visit at his restaurant and she said she was just grateful to be able to support her “friend”.

However, when the topic of love came up, Boity made it clear that there are “no vibes” between them.

“There are no vibes between me and Maps, we are homies. Geez!” she said, shifting uncomfortably in her confessional.

She did say that the pair was close though. “We are not cosy. We are friends. We are comfortable …”

Reacting to the hashtag, Maps called it ridiculous.

“Y’all are ridiculous. Imagine you’re minding your own business, and logging on to find out you’re engaged!?”, he tweeted.
When a follower replied to Maps saying he should admit that the hashtag was funny, the star replied saying it was not.

“No, I just added the laughing faces on the end of my tweet because I’m mad”, he said.

Babes Wodumo – Mampintsha is the only one who understands me

Having released a song that has once again captured the local and global audience, self-proclaimed gqom queen Babes Wodumo is here to make sure that Mzansi and the world knows that she never lost her star power.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Babes made it known that she’s not “reclaiming the crown” because she never stepped off her throne.

I don’t think my crown was ever off my head, I remain the queen of gqom until I decide otherwise!

Her latest single eLamont has been praised by Black Is King star Busiswa and US power couple Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.

Even though Babes has faced a lot of criticism in the past for featuring Mampintsha on all her songs, she used the same recipe again for her “comeback” album. Babes explained why she thinks Mampintsha is the “perfect” person for her to collaborate with.

“Mampintsha is the only one who understands me and the type of gqom I make. Mampintsha understands me and that’s why we make great music together, we are able to communicate properly.

“Also a lot of artists don’t really understand gqom, so I don’t want a situation where I feature people that will make my songs lame or drain my vibe. However, I do most of the singing on the songs and I also feature on songs from his album,” Babes said.

While she wasn’t willing to elaborate on her personal relationship, Babes made it clear that she and Mampintsha knew how to draw the line between work and home. She added that she appreciated the working relationship because of the distinction.

“We have a very good working relationship. When we are busy at work, we are not boyfriend and girlfriend. We understand each other and we work!Completely shutting down the pregnancy rumours that surfaced after her music video for eLamont was released, Babes said people loved jumping to conclusions whenever she was involved. She added that even though she one day wants to settle down and have children, that time was nowhere in the near future.

“There’s no woman that doesn’t have a future version of herself where she settles down and has kids and gets married. However, for me, I still have a lot of things I need to achieve before that time comes. So once I have ticked those off, then I can have children, get married etc. It’s all a matter of time I guess,” she said.
