Khanyi Mbau Comes To Somizi’s Defence After The Idols SA Judge Got Accused Of Getting All The Jobs

Khanyi Mbau has come to Somizi’s defense after social media expressed their disapproval of the way Somgaga ‘takes every job.’ Mohale recently came under fire after it was announced that he will be joining Rhythm City for simply being Somizi’s husband.

Khanyi Mbau Comes To Somizi’s Defence After The Idols SA Judge Got Accused Of Getting All The Jobs

Defending her friend, Khanyi said “Somizi saw a gap and he filled it” when answering a few concerned social media users tweets where they claim the South African media industry does not ‘open up the industry.’

The debate ensued when Khanyi posted a Castle Lite advert for their Bathu sneaker collaboration featuring her. One of the comments that caught her attention said, in South Africa “the same people get all the deals.” She responded by saying those people fast, pray and hustle very hard.

In the topic of Mohale getting an acting gig whilst some drama students graduate without getting any luck, a tweep argued with her saying in the industry you thrive only if you have connections.

“Nah my darling, they got connections, they are favored…Why would Somizi get a cooking show while there’s plenty qualified chef’s who can actually do the job way better than him…Why is Mohale getting acting jobs while other kids went to acting schools? Some bias moves,” the tweet read.

In response to another tweep, Mbau simply said Somizi filled a gap that was available.

“Parents pay money because they kids have passion. The job part is another game all together, life is a battle peridot! Survival of the fittest! No one is coming to save u, n one owes u anything!! In any industry it’s about mastery! Some will serve and some will be served!” she responded.

In an interview with Trending SA, Mohale spoke about the criticism he gets after signing a major deal, saying it used to get to him when people talked bad about him but not anymore.

“In the beginning when people would share their thoughts about what I do, where I go it used to bother me. But then I said wait… I can’t be angry at people who don’t know me, or anything about me. People expect me to not do anything simply because I am married to a famous person. I can’t blame myself for getting married to Somizi. That must not mean I shouldn’t pursue any opportunities simply because people are going to say that Somizi got them for me,” proclaimed Mohale.

“I went to audition for the role. My agent sent me an e-mail saying there is an audition happening and they handpicked about six people from my agent and another six from another agent. She said to me ‘do a tape, record and let’s send it.”

Idols SA Somizi’s Latest Competition Refuels Dinner At Somizi’s Drama

South African media personality, Somizi, has reminded fans about the drama surrounding his cooking show, Dinner At Somizi, following a tweet shared on Wednesday, 30 September 2020. The host announced his partnership with DSTV by calling upon his fans to share their suggestions on who they would like to see on the show.

Idols SA Somizi’s Latest Competition Refuels Dinner At Somizi’s Drama

Somizi tweeted, “Hey fam….to all my #dinneratsomizis fans I have some gr8 news 4u… I’m helping @DStv giveaway some cool prizes. All u need to do is tweet who u would like to see as a guest on my show #dinneratsomizis and include #tooeasy to stand a chance to win. I’ll announce winners on Sunday.”

Looks like Somizi made it ‘too easy’ for Tweeps to bring up the drama surrounding his show, with many suggesting that he calls upon the man who accused him of stealing his idea, Hastings Moeng. The refuelling of the drama caused for the show to hit the trends list once again, reminding everyone of the accusations made against him.

The drama went down at the beginning of September when reports emerged that the brain behind the show Hastings Moeng, sent an email to Somizi on July 28, 2014, proposing a cooking show Dinner Kwa Somizi. “On 28 July 2014, Hastings Moeng proposed Dinner At Somizi’s to Somizi & Themba. The description of the show is materially similar to the one now flighted (to the shock of Mr Moeng). See the 2014 email below and decide for yourself,” shared Eusebius McKaiser on Twitter.

It is also alleged that on 2 September 2016 Hastings Moeng sent a treatment synopsis of the show to the producer of Somizi’s current show Legend Manqele and they apparently used his concept to produce the show.

After staying silent on social media over the allegations that he stole Dinner At Somizi’s, SomG finally addressed the allegations and claimed that he no idea about any documents that were proposed to him. Som-Gaga then denied ever seeing any emails from the producer. His reasoning is that he does not look at his emails, as his management has handled the account for the past five years, stating that he had logged on to his email was a few months back.

President Ramaphosa faces Motion of No Confidence Vote in Parliament

President Ramaphosa faces Motion of No Confidence Vote in Parliament

President Ramaphosa faces Motion of No Confidence Vote in Parliament

President Ramaphosa has his critics, alright: It’s been a few years, but South Africa could soon see a president face a Motion of No Confidence in Parliament.

The African Transformation Movement has claimed that their Motion of No Confidence in Cyril Ramaphosa is advancing to the next stage after Speaker Thandi Modise confirmed that consultations are now being finalised.

It would be the first vote Cyril has faced as president, and it’s more than three years since South Africa last held a no confidence vote. Jacob Zuma survived by the skin of his teeth in 2017, only to be ousted from office just a few months later.

Why is Ramaphosa facing a Motion of No Confidence vote?

The ATM, however, will be hoping to see a withdrawal from office this time around. The party earned two seats in Parliament during the 2019 Elections, and they’ve used their voice to amplify negative sentiments about the president. Amongst other things, the ATM is outraged by South Africa’s unemployment rate, the rampant threat of corruption, and worsening load shedding schedules.

ATM seek ‘presidential withdrawal’

For their motion to make it to Parliament, Thandi Modise must give an all-clear to a Parliamentary debate. If this is approved, a vote will follow in the National Assembly, requiring two-thirds of all MPs to support a Motion of No Confidence. Although Ramaphosa does have ‘enemy factions’ within the ANC, it’s highly unlikely enough will turn against him.

ATM Head of Policy, Mzwanele ‘Jimmy’ Manyi, had urged the speaker to advance their case earlier this week:

Who’s the scariest witch of them all?

Who’s the scariest witch of them all?

Who’s the scariest witch of them all?

Whether you believe witchcraft is real or not, these frightening Mzansi witches make for magic TV. We’ve seen talking snakes, people sacrificing babies and other really dark things and have been introduced to some really strong witches. So, who’s the most powerful of them all?

Heartless MaMngadi – The Herd
MaMngadi always gives a show and we are here for it. From summoning evil spirits, threatening to end her children’s lives and getting rid of anyone who stands in her way, MaMngadi sure takes witchcraft to a whole new level. She’s shown that when it comes to casting spells and dark magic, she has all the right skills. Some even believe that no one does witchcraft better than her.

If you think witches have limits, then you clearly haven’t seen this woman in action. Remember how she convinced her husband to sacrifice his first wife? Or how about that time she wanted him to kill his own daughter several years later?

Mention the worst possible thing a person can do and well, MaMngadi has probably done it! The character played by Winnie Ntshaba became so popular that some people were convinced that Winnie was a real-life witch. Now that’s how you carry a storyline.

Killer combo Schotho (and NomaRussia) – Igazi
Schotho must have gone to witchcraft private school (if it exists) because that is one scary woman. Have you ever watched a TV character and immediately got frightened just by looking at her? And no, we’re not joking here. Oh, and there’s that snake of hers – her “husband”. She also has dark spirits that show her things that are about to happen.

Schotho faithfully serves her cousin, NomaRussia, and these two are a dangerous team together. The first episode of Season One demonstrated this perfectly. NomaRussia rushed to Schotho and instructed her to kill the king. “I don’t want the king to see the day tomorrow.” What NomaRussia wants, NomaRussia gets. The king was dead that very same evening after being killed by a snake. Did we mention that these two casually drink frog tea like it’s no big deal? Yes, frog tea is a thing, people!

Power-hungry Chigane – Omen
Omen is all about witchcraft. The show has some of the scariest scenes we’ve seen on local television and perhaps one of the most memorable witches named Chigane. Not only is she stylish, but she’s also power-hungry and will do whatever it takes to have her way.

Chigane is not to be messed with and she made it clear after killing the king. Her mission was clear: to wipe out the late king’s entire bloodline and resurrect her family. We didn’t know that people could be brought back to life, by the way. But it seems nothing is impossible if you’re a witch.

Witchcraft addict Mchete – Isikizi
Although Mchete isn’t a witch, he’s not afraid to use witchcraft medicine to gain power.

His most horrific act was when he kills a young woman and smeared her blood all over his body as a means to gain more power and to be feared.

To make this Mchete character even more creepy, he also hides a huge frog in his room and speaks to it when he needs guidance on his next evil plan.

The untouchable Nkabinde (Isibaya)
For many seasons of Isibaya we’ve watched Nkabinde cheat death so many times, even viewers became irritated at his ability to resurrect himself.

Every villain that appears on the telenovela seeks Nkabinde’s services and are always pleased with the results.

Who’s the scariest witch of them all?

The good guys always attempt to kill Nkabinde but their attempts prove futile. However, there is a breakthrough in Season 4 when Nkabinde is burned alive – his death marks the official end of Nkabinde’s evil run.

If these witches went up against each other, who would win?
