weeps quickly lambasted her and asked whether the Coronavirus was no longer existent for her to have a packed performance at the mall. Many celebrities will be please that the country has finally gone to Level 1, following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s national address, which confirmed that the country was now ready to start to return to normalcy.
“Corona is the thing of the past neh?”
“Bathong and Corona?”
“Corona vele iphelile? Ihhee it will end it tears”
It is no secret that everyone has been adversely affected by the pandemic with artists among the hardest resulting in events and concerts being closed. This has severely affected their main source of income from gigs. This forced Durban-based artists to blockade the N3 highway while demanding for events to be open under #VulaPresident. Other artists who were in support of this movement included L’vovo, DJ Tira, DJ Shimza and many more.
Jacky Phamatsoe, a best-selling author and businesswoman even sent the President a direct message to ask him to assist fellow artists in the industry.
“Dear Mr President Cyril Ramaphpsa, you seem not to care about the arts industry!” She tweeted. “We have not been catered for during this lockdown! If guns and teargas is the only way you handle our hunger than so be it! We are tired of being ostracized. Please open the country!”
It seems that artists have been struggling so much that they couldn’t wait to start accepting club bookings and gigs and Nomcebo is no different. She is about to let a little corona pandemic mess with her bank anymore.
