Netflix SA’s new series, How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding

Netflix South Africa has announced the latest edition to its festive season line-up, How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding, which will include an all-star cast. Netflix SA announced on Monday, 28 September 2020, that it will be delivering a three-part holiday series in December. How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding is scheduled to premiere in December 2020, with the specific date yet to be revealed.

The streaming service stated, “[December] at home with the folks and a wedding? Wow! That’s what Tumi has to deal with in How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding, a three-episode series with an all-star cast coming soon!”According to a statement from Netflix SA on Monday, 5 October 2020, the series will star Busisiwe Lurayi as Tumi Sello, who begrudgingly joins her dysfunctional family for the Christmas holidays after years. Her return home sees her managing to ruin her younger sister, Beauty Sello’s wedding, played by Thando Thabethe, as she spends the next three days frantically trying to get things back on track.

The series will also star Rami Chuene, Yonda Thomas, Sandile Mahlangu, Lethabo Bereng, Desmond Dube, Trevor Gumbi and Saint Seseli, amongst others. Netflix has also shared cast pictures from the production, which see them dressed in traditional clothing for Tumi’s wedding ceremony.
