Natasha Thahane’s baby daddy Thembinkosi Lorch’s salary, business empire and net worth stuns Mzansi
Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch and his girlfriend Natasha Thahane are expecting a baby boy. Natasha announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post that went viral on social media, without announcing the father, Natasha and Lorch have been dating for two years.
Natasha Thahane hogged headlines in 2021 during an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG when she revealed that she was given over R1 million by Minister Baleka Mbete to study overseas. Natasha hails from a wealthy family as a granddaughter of the late and influential Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Though he comes from a humble background, Thembinkosi Lorch rose through the ranks of Maluti FET College all the way to Orlando Pirates. He, at one point, became the most paid PSL player in 2017 when he moved to Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
During his school days at Maluti FET College, Lorch impressed and caught the eyes of Orlando Pirates scouts during a Jomo Cosmos vs Maluti FET College FC match. After signing over the dotted line, Lorch received an excess of R 4.6 million signing on fees and was loaned to Cape Town All Stars and Chippa United.
The 2019 South African Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season star attracted European interest in the French League when Montpellier Hérault Sport Club enquired for his services. The move overseas failed to materialize after the club changed its head coach.
Lorch is one of the few PSL stars who managed to make hay while the sun shines, currently earning R280 000 per month at Orlando Pirates; he invested the bulk of his earnings. In 2022, his net worth is calculated at R19.3 million. Thembinkosi owns a recycling company and has interests in cattle ranching. He owns a farm that mainly focuses on beef production; though he spends much of his time kicking a football, Lorch often has farm visits offseason.
