Mzansi’s top police officer ventured into gospel music
When she is not maintaining law and order as a senior traffic cop at the Bushbuckridge Municipality in Mpumalanga, she heals broken souls.
She does this through her gospel music, which has received thumbs up from gospel music lovers.
Thembi Silaule’s single titled, Akekh’ Omunye, which was recently released by Snagra Recording Company, is has been selling like hot cakes.
The 42-year-old married mother of three looks up to local female gospel legends.
“I was inspired by powerful gospel stars such as Dr Rebecca Malope, Mabongi Mabaso and Lebo Sekgobela for their consistency in the gospel music industry.
“My biggest wish is to one day collaborate with Lebo Sekgobela. She’s close to my heart. My biggest dream is to one day receive an international gospel award,” she said.
Thembi started singing when she was 10 and was inspired by her late friend Tshepo Sihlangu.
“Tshepo and I always had the dream to become gospel stars. The dream is becoming true, yet Tshepo is no more,” she said.
Thembi’s single is available on all digital platforms.
