Mzansi celebs react to the Lockdown Extension
Yesterday, South Africans gathered in their lounges again, after the nation learned that President Cyril Ramaphosa, will be addressing the nation. In a rather unexpected move, the president dropped a bombshell that, they have carefully decided to extend the nationwide lockdown by two weeks, to curb the spread Covid-19 outbreak.
Twitter went crazy after the president’s announcement, including Mzansi’s celebs, and they flooded the social media streets with memes, crying out loud as the entire month of April, has been cancelled.
All the lockdown rules are still in effect and, it is set to last until the end of April. The president pleaded with the masses to make greater sacrifices to make the country survive during this time. It is no secret that many people have been exhausted from staying indoors including our favourite celebs, but the president asked everyone to endure even longer.
“If we end the lockdown too soon, or too abruptly, we risk a massive and uncontrollable resurgence of the disease. We risk reversing the gains that we have made over the last few weeks and rendering meaningless the great sacrifices that we have all made.” Said the President. Celebs reacted to the Presidents address, and some have been coming to grips with the announcement although it is a tough pill to swallow.
So we can agree as a nation that April 2020 never happened, never existed, never occurred, right? I mean…? #StayAtHome pic.twitter.com/XFvdX1ltvK

Let's postpone our birthdays by a month and throw such grand parties that people born in May wish they were born in April. No lockdown formed against April babies shall prosper. https://t.co/PsLPk27z4E
