Mondli Makhoba Speaks About His Brotherhood With Wiseman Mncube

Actor Mondli Makhoba has given his flowers to actor Wiseman Ncube. The two forged a brotherhood during their early acting days, and have been thick as thieves ever since.

Mondli Makhoba and Wiseman Ncube have become familiar faces in South African local television. They have been awarded the opportunity to work alongside one another on several productions but their journey was not easy.

“To me, he (Wiseman) is a brother. We met back in 2013 working in the theater show Amambazo Musica. We lived together in 2017 when I moved to Johannesburg to do Isithembiso (He gave me accommodation). There are a lot of things we did and have done to us, one of the things is that we were robbed of 10k. We lost the money, but our losing the money came with a realization that our friendship was deeper than we thought. We started motivating each other, walking back to being homeless. But, God sent an angel for us to give us accommodation,” he shared.

Mondli gives Wiseman his flowers in a sweet note naming all the productions they were in and the most recent being Shaka Ilembe:

“Mkhulu, you are great at what you do as an actor. I remember when we were working out at Virgin Active Milpark, when I got the Generations the Legacy email, you were doing Ring of Lies. I remember when we both left the house for SABC to work on Generations the Legacy together. You were Skhalo, I was the Captain. I remember how proud I was when you started at Uzalo. I later got Imbewu, you were killing it on Uzalo. When you came to The Wife, I knew the character was safe. Now that we are on #ShakaIlembe together, I’m proud of our journey. I appreciate you, Mahlobo. You are part of my story. And I can not be told without you in it.”
Wiseman Ncube thanked his friend Mondli for the wonderful words:

“MfokaNsele yini kodwa yini ngoba angikhali (Nsele, you know I do not cry.) Hahaha. We were at one point jobless moneyless foodless but we filled our spirit with positive energy saying that it was just a faze that we are going through and we are going to make it big. Look at us now.“Ngyabonga bhuti Omdala (Thank you big brother) and that’s just 1 percent of what we went through. Our paths crossed for a reason bhuti. I appreciate you bhuti Omdala kakhulu bhuti. Unkulunkulu nedlozi likugcine nje Joko (big brother, very much. May God and your ancestors keep you safe?”
