MISS SA runner-up Dr Moratwe Masima has thanked South Africans for supporting her.

This is despite losing to KZN-born Lalela Mswane.

In her appreciation post, she wrote:

“South Africa, THANK YOU! I am one of your top three representatives that are going to change the trajectory of what it means to change the narrative of what a modern and powerful woman exudes.

“I’m also going to be representing you at one of our international pageants and I couldn’t be more excited! Thank you @official_misssa for entrusting me with this job and role. I am so honored and excited.”

Instagram users and her friends took turns congratulating her on her journey.

“Congratulations queen, you were stunning tonight and we can’t wait to see you reach even greater heights,” said Vuyelwa Ndlovu.

Simonay wished she could do Miss World.

“Hope you get to do Miss World,” she wrote.

Stella Magwai commented: “You deserve it my darling and massive congratulations. Wish you all the very best in your campaign and your preparations for whichever pageant you are going to do.”
