Meet Bheki Cele’s ‘daughter’ who caused a stir

South Africa Police Minister, Bheki Cele has been serving since February 2019. Prior to that, he had served as the deputy minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

The minister is known for his strictness in law enforcement especially when it comes to illegal alcohol. In December 2021, he led an operation that saw around 20,000 litres of illicit alcohol being destroyed.

A few days after Minister Cele annoyed the drinking community, his daughter trended on social media for something that his father condemned- quite ironic, right?

On the night of 31st December 2021, a video of a young woman, alleged to be Bheki Cele’s daughter- Khumbuza Cele went viral.

In the video, the young woman who was at a party was happy dancing in a skirt with a high cut that revealed that she was not wearing any underwear.

According to sources, the minister’s daughter was celebrating her birthday and her father was also present at the party which was reportedly held at Coco nightclub in Cape Town.

As soon as the video was released to the public by entertainment commentator- Musa Khawula, Twitter went wild as people immediately started criticizing the minister for being “hypocritical” in cursing alcohol while his own daughter partook in the drink.

Shortly after Bheki Cele saw the video, he vehemently denied being related to the woman in the video saying that she was not his daughter. He further went on to threaten to take legal action against Musa Khawula for his allegations.

Who is Bheki Cele’s daughter?

So who is Bheki Cele’s daughter, or rather who was the woman in the viral video? Here is everything we know.

The identity of the woman in the video has been revealed as Khumbuza Cele, she turned 24 years old in December 2021.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Khumbuza Cele holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management studies from Cape Town University.

She currently works as a category account manager for Nestle- East and Southern African regions. She previously worked as a General Assistant at East Coast Radio and as a host and content producer for UCT Radio.

Bheki Cele’s daughter is beautiful. She loves posting fabulous pictures of herself enjoying life with her friends or on her own and we think that she could easily pass for a model, and she actually is.

Bheki Cele’s wives and children
Minister Bheki Cele has been reportedly married twice. His first wife was a woman identified as Thando Ngcobo. Details about their marriage or separation (if there was one) have not been provided and it’s unclear whether they have children together.

His second and current wife is called Thembeka Ngcobo. The two reportedly exchanged vows in 2010 after meeting at the former KwaZulu-Natal premier and health minister Zweli Mkhize’s dinner party.

Aside from that, the minister is reported to have been in other relationships with an aspiring model called Bongiwe and another woman identified as Mantombi Gumede, but their relationship did not last.
