Maskandi artist Senzo “Ntencane” Zondi comes through for a struggling family

Senzo “Ntencane” Zondi has been hailed as a hero after donating food to a struggling family. Minenhle Majola (22) from Edendale kasi’s Snathing area in Pietermaritzburg posted a message on Facebook asking Ntencane for help.

The maskandi artist on Wednesday bought groceries worth over R3 000 for Minenhle’s family.

Ntencane wrote on his Facebook timeline: “I don’t know why she chose me, but I decided to go and see her and her family.“I don’t have much, but had to help. I request that anyone who can help do the same.”

This was followed by hundreds of Facebook comments praising him.God will always make a plan. Perhaps He chose you to change the life of this fan.”Tornado Gabhadiya KaNtencane wrote: “This is the Ntencane I know. Your humility is what made me follow your music.”

Lindokuhle Simphiwe wrote: “God will always make a plan. Perhaps He chose you to change the life of this fan.” Ntencane told Daily Sun his gut feeling wouldn’t let him ignore Minenhle when he saw her message.

“I asked if she was serious and she said yes. We exchanged numbers,” he said.

“When I got to her house I could see they were poor. I could relate to their situation.
“A year ago I was poor. But kind-hearted people rescued me.”

Minenhle is a big fan of Ntencane and follows his posts.

“I asked for help and he delivered food to our home. He promised to get us more help from fellow artists and the public,” said Minenhle.

“I stay with my 15-year-old sister and seven-year-old brother. We survive on asocial grant. Our parents died a few years ago. All we need is a decent house.”
