Maps Maponyane keeps making those money moves

South African television presenter, actor, fashion designer, speaker, model, creative consultant, voice over artist, philanthropist and business entrepreneur, Maps Maponyane has bagged a judging job and we are so excited for him.

He took to Instagram to announce the good news. He said, “Gooood Vibes!? I’m officially on the panel to judge this year’s Patrón Perfectionists competition in South Africa!?We had a lot of fun at MESH in Joburg sipping on some absolutely brilliant Patrón cocktails made by some of the best mixologists in the country.

Just five days ago, Maps was at the Milan fashion week where he was given an opportunity to introduce the launch of the “Fashion Bridges – I Ponti della Moda”. Speaking about the event he said, “Had the honour of officially introducing the launch of “Fashion Bridges – I Ponti della Moda”, addressing an audience at Milan Fashion Week.

It’s a truly original project envisaged months ago by the Embassy of Italy in Pretoria, with a goal “to foster a partnership on fashion between South Africa and Italy”. The joint capsule collections of 8 young Italians?? and South Africans?? are being presented to the public for the first time this week, and will also be presented at @safashionweek in Johannesburg on October 30th, 2021.

An additional goal of Fashion Bridges is to facilitate the strengthening of technical skills and supply chains in both countries, with an emphasis on quality of products and sustainability of processes. Proud to have been a part of this from conception, and I can’t wait to see what this project manages to do for the development of young designers and the industry.
