Makhadzi shares photos sleeping next to her 18 Awards
Mzansi musician Makhadzi is trending on social media after she shared photos of herself sleeping next to her 18 awards.
The “Matorokisi” hitmaker, who is having a great year in which she has picked up several prestigious awards, has gained superstar status not only in South Africa but across the world.
Makhadzi revealed that she slept next to her 18 gold and platinum awards last night after receiving another three awards.
This comes after “Kulakwe”, her latest song with fellow Limpopo musician Master KG reached gold status in just 3 months. The collaboration with Master KG was released in February.
Celebrating the huge achievement on Friday night, the vocalist posted on social media,
WHEN I THOUGHT 3 AWARDS I RECEIVED YESTERDAY WAS ENOUGH MATSIKO NOOO THERE IS 15 MORE.
YES I SLEPT NEXT TO MY 18 AWARDS OF GOLD AND PLATINUMS LAST NIGHT I didn’t know what to do with myself.
The Limpopo Queen then shared details of he works which went gold and those which went platinum.

Makhadzi raised the country’s flag high recently when she bagged an international award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022.
Makhadzi won the Favourite African Star after seeing off stiff competition. She was nominated for the award alongside Focalistic, Major League DJs, Nigerian superstar singer Tems and South African celebrity coach Pitso Mosimane, who coaches Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Reflecting on the honour, Makhadzi recounted the humble origins of her musical career when she used to sell her CDs at various taxi ranks and train stations around Tembisa.
