L’vovo in hospital after suffering a stroke
Thokozani Ndlovu popularly known as, L’vovo has been admitted to the hospital after he suffered a stroke during a performance in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu-Natal.
This was confirmed by his record label Derrango Records on Saturday, 24 December.
According to the record label, Ndlovu suffered a minor stroke during his performance at Ndwedwe in KwaZulu-Natal on 23 December.
He is reportedly in the hospital receiving medical attention and is said to be responding well.
“We kindly ask that you keep him in your prayers and we are confident that he will come out of this difficult situation even stronger,” a statement released by the record label read.
L’vovo’s family also asked for privacy during this trying time.
Earlier this year, Ndlovu spent a month at ICU in Greys Hospital after he was involved in a car accident.
The publication previously reported that L’vovo was involved in a head-on collision with a truck in his hometown of Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. His leg was seriously injured in the car accident and told Isolezwe that he is learning to walk again.
“The problem is that I injured my hip, so walking has been very challenging. But doctors have inserted a pediatric hip plate to help this area to heal, what is left now is for me to walk again,” he said.
“I have started attending classes that will help me to walk and I was removed from the intensive care unit (ICU) on Wednesday [1 June]”.
The news comes just a day after another Kwaito and Gqom artist and Big Nuz member, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo also suffered a minor stroke after a performance, was hospitalized, and later died.
