Lerato Kganyago confirms she no longer owns 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa
Media personality and club DJ Lerato Kganyago has confirmed that she is no longer the owner of the luxurious 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa in Northcliff, Johannesburg. The ownership of the hotel has always been under scrutiny on social media since reports emerged that her husband Thami Ndlala, gifted her with the 5-star boutique hotel on Valentine’s Day in 2022. Arguably, controversial blogger Musa Khawula, has been on Lerato’s tail for some time now, accusing her of allegedly lying about the hotel’s ownership. It is clear that the long-simmering beef between the two is far from over as Musa continues to press Lerato’s buttons.
Musa is causing a stir again on social media as he has shared receipts showing the hotel allegedly owes the City of Joburg 234,055.99. The blogger further claims that staffers at the hotel have not yet been paid their salaries and have been evicted. Musa maintains that Lerato was never the owner of the hotel. He even went as far as sharing a court order that states that Thami Ndlala, is the one who owns the hotel.
On Wednesday, Lerato took to her Instagram stories to state that she removed herself as a member of the hotel to focus on other business ventures.
“That orangutan MUSA knows very well that I removed myself from a member of 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa months ago because I decided to focus on my other businesses. It’s 2023 he must get over it, I know I bring him views,” she wrote.
In an Instagram live session, she said this year she is tired of being bigger and better. Lerato said she will correct any misleading and harmful misinformation about anything involving her name.
The Metro FM host also addressed claims about her alleged rocky marriage to her husband Thami Ndlala. This comes after City Press reported in 2022 that it was allegedly no longer glossy in the Ndlala household as Lerato had allegedly packed her bags and left her Steyn City marital home. The businesswoman has set the record straight that she is still married and her marriage is not collapsing as it is widely reported in the media.
“I am married on paper, if you go to Home Affairs you will see that my name is Lerato Kganyago-Ndlala. I am not married by affiliation, I am married on paper, I am a wife and have never been divorced, and I am not being divorced,” she explained
Lerato added, “I have always said that the day I say ‘husband’ it must be written on paper. I do not say it because it’s a nice thing to say. I say it because by law I am his wife
