So last night there was a gala at Ginimbi’s Domboshava Mansion as his Versace South African bought coffin lay in state at his mansion. This is what he had instructed to happen, in case he dies and the family honoured his wish.
It was party time as the party started the moment his coffin arrived from Harare where he had shut down and lockdown the CBD. Harare CBD was jam-packed as the people gave a well sent-off to the socialite who was known for his flashy lifestyle.
Friends came from different countries just to pay their final respects to their fellow friend who died in a car accident. It was a day to remember. Most high profiled people will never be mourned like how Genuis Kadungure was. In fact, judging with the most profiled funerals we have had in Zimbabwe, Ginimbi’s funeral might come third after the Robert Mugabe, Morgen Tsvangirai and a debatable Oliver Mtukudzi one.
