Killer Kau’s gilfriend celebrates his Birthday
It is without a doubt that the pain of losing a loved one takes a long time to heal, but you never forget them. Amapiano star Sakhile “Killer Kau” Hlatshwayo‘s might be gone but his absence is still very much felt.
Today, the singer would have turned 24 years old and the love of his life Olwethu Mkhwanazi, has taken to her Instagram account to remember him. It is evident that it’s hard for Olwethu to let go of the memories they shared together, but it is heartwarming to see her still remembering him.
Olwethu shared a video from Mpura’s previous birthday where they are seen singing for him. She also posted another story where they are celebrating his birthday together.
Fans, friends, and industry mates have wished Killer Kau his first heavenly birthday today.

Killer Kau passed away on 9 August 2021 after a tragic car accident. This comes after the car he was travelling in collided with another which was driven by a fire fighter. In the car, there were other occupants and 5 lost their lives. Their loss left the entire music fraternity shuttered.
A sole survivor of the accident, Peloyame Segatle told Relebogile on Unpacked with Relebogile Mabotja, that they were travelling to a gig in Rustenburg when the accident happened.
“We were making jokes and singing along in the car, then eventually I told Voice that I’m tired and I wanna sleep. Then he said I could sleep on his shoulder and he’ll wake me up when we arrive at our next destination. Then I fell asleep,” she said
When asked what recalled after that she said, “I woke up in ICU”. Segatle said she was in ICU for a month and she did not know what had happened to her.
“I remember there was a day when a nurse came to give me my food and medication for the day, but the doctors quickly called her to check something. So she left, but because she left so quickly, she forgot her phone [on] my bedside table,” said Segatle.
“I looked and that’s when I saw my name, Mpura’s name, Killer’s name…Everybody’s name and I was confused because I didn’t know why we were on the internet but I just told myself ‘relax.’
