Khaya Mthethwa: Opening churches is irresponsible.

Gospel Singer and television host Khaya Mthethwa could be a pastor too but, he doesn’t believe that opening places of worship may be a great idea. The singer took to Twitter to vent on this heated debate, which has since been on everyone’s lips on whether churches must be allowed to work , since the President addressed the state last night.

President Cyril Ramaphosa said places of worship may re-open under strict restrictions in alert level 3 of lock-down, which can start next week Monday. The President declared places of worship as an important service because prayer will comfort and strengthen the country because it continues to confront this pandemic.

This left many of us divided on Twitter with some saying those that want to wish must pray reception , and opening churches will cause more fatalities and Covid-19 cases. Some said churches are an important service and but protecting ourselves et al. are going to be beat our hands.

Khaya weighed in on the matter and said to the President, opening churches is irresponsible, he wrote “I’m a church boy but this is often irresponsible. #cyrilramaphosa” Khaya said he’s not attacking the President but he’s just expressing his own views during a democratic country.
