Singer Kelly Khumalo always seems to find in the news for anything other than her music career. The Empini hitmaker is believed to be at loggerheads with almost everyone in her family. So tense is the rift between Kelly Khumalo and her family that rumor has it that she kicked her mother , Ntombifuthi Khumalo out of her Jozi home.
An insider claims the family has distanced themselves from Kelly. Explained the insider : “Kelly had an alteration with her sister (Zandi). When she started fighting with Zandi, she expected her mom to take her side. But Ntombofuthi decided not to choose sides.
Eventually Kelly told her mom to stop talking to Zandi. Again her mother refused to do so. Kelly wasn’t happy about this and started bullying her mom. She would shout and yell and belittle Ntombifuthi in front of her kids. ”
The drama is believed to have unfolded four months ago. The fight got so bitter that Ntombifuthi packed her bags and left for KZN. All efforts by the Khumalo’s to resolve the issue have failed because Kelly Khumalo refuses to come home to KZN.
“The problem is Kelly refuses to come back home. She’s too much of a celebrity now and has distanced herself from the family,” the insider claimed.
Kelly Khumalo has however dismissed the allegations that she kicked her mother out.
“My mother left because I wanted the truth about my biological father, which has been an elephant in the room for years in my family. My mother can talk to whoever she wants, I can’t force her to stand for the truth and be the mother she’s failed to be over the years.

About being “disowned” she said everyone who cared about her was no more.
