Fans of the educational soapie have witnessed Maosa’s character grow from high school, varsity and getting his first job and finally getting married to Elizabeth Thobakgale (played by Amanda Manku).

Maosa tells Sunday World: “I think we have explored him (Kwaito) so much because it is more of a journey. Now him becoming a husband is something wonderful. What I appreciate as Clement is that all these years, I have had the opportunity to cry, laugh and go through different stages of life with this character.”

The actor adds that he thought his character would be ready maybe at a later stage when he was 35 or 40 as he’s been around as he’s been a womaniser and seemed to enjoy being more of a ladies’ man. The Skeem Saam actor is also grateful to experiment the popular character, Kwaito for over a decade in the educational soapie.

Maosa also admits everything has been overwhelming for him because it is more of a realization that he has played the character for more than a decade.

The SABC soapie celebrated its tenth-year anniversary in December 2021 since its first episode on 13 October 2011, starring Patrick Seleka as Katlego Peterson, Clement Maosa and Cornet Mamabolo as the first Tbose Maputla.
