Well-known South African social media influencer Inno Matijane has opened up about turning to God.

The star of Moja Love’s reality TV show The Way Ngingakhona Inno Matijane revealed on his Facebook account on Monday, 12 August that he’s a born-again who is still attracted to guys.

He begins his post by asking his fans to not use his revelations against the LGBTQ+ community.

“If there’s one thing I can ask you guys, please don’t use my revelation against the LGBTQ+ community. Again, I said ‘I am still attracted to guys’, but I am choosing God before everything and my desires.”

“Including what I thought was important to me. God said, “come as are you” and I did that, to be reborn. I didn’t go to God to be straight; I went to God because I needed him, the rest it’s on him. “

“That includes surrending everything, including my feelings, my thoughts etc. Please this is not a “gottcha” moment to the queer community. In fact, yall should love people as they are and not weaponise the Bible.”

Matijane adds that he wants to live for God and abide by his book of life and he still supports the LGBTQ+ community.

“They’re children of God, like me and you but I love God more. That’s why the LGBTQ+ community don’t go to church or God,” he says.

“I also said that though I am born out of sin I am choosing to not act upon it. If I have a different Revelation in a week or a year, that’s also okay. Man, just be kind. But I am surrendering everything to God, choosing God. “

“I can’t pick and choose bible verses, if my life is not a representation of his Kingdom, I am definitely going to live the way he wants me to live, whether that sits right with me or not, he comes first. I can’t be 50% in and 50% out,” he concludes.

Matijane trended on social media in 2022 when he opened up about his gender transformation journey.

The reality TV star who wore dresses, wigs, and make-up previously admitted that the gender dysphoria was hell.

TshisaLIVE reported in February that the reality TV star, Inno Matijane underwent therapy and decided to start her hormone replacement therapy on 4 February 2024.

Matijane shared a glimpse of her journey on social media and said going public could help put things in perspective for others who can relate to her story.

The star told the publication: “I wanted to make it a personal journey and not share it on social media because I knew I am a public figure. People have known me as a gay person.”

“There is a lot of judgment already. people could think I am transitioning because my friends are transitioning.”

“I wanted it to be my own sacred thing. But I’m glad that I did, because I can be free and fully live my life without any fear and caring what anybody will say. So somehow it also helped me and my self-esteem.”
