Mzansi rapper Gigi Lamayne Exposes South African Hip Hop Industry
Mzansi rapper Gigi Lamayne recently caused a stir on Twitter when she sent out a series of tweets slamming the SA hip-hop industry.
The rapper feels the SA music industry is more of a connection-based industry and has a very corrupt system in its operation. In a recent interview with Zaleb, Gigi explained how the industry is trying so hard to mimic the US culture forgetting how beautiful Mzansi people are.
The rapper took to his Twitter account on Monday to lash out at the SA hip-hop industry who tried to tuck her back into her shell when she first burst onto the scene. Taking to her Twitter account she wrote:
“I’ve had to fight since I joined This industry. Your artists Are worse though. They are traitors to the culture . I was apparently too dark and ugly to make it now people wannna smile ? Why?”
