Former Miss SA Basetsana Kumalo Gushes Over Her Husband Romeo Kumalo As He Turns 49

Businesswoman and mother of three, Basetsana Kumalo wished her husband, Romeo Kumalo a happy birthday. Romeo Kumalo turned 49 years on the 25th of February!

She took to her Instagram account and penned a long heartfelt message to her husband of 21 years: “Happy birthday Sthandwa sam’, Baba wezingane zam’,swidi lam’ lomkhohlane … doing this thing called life with you is a great joy. May your days be long on earth, may good health be your daily portion, may you live a life of contentment. May the hand of God always be upon you. Ngiyagcwala ngawe Mpintsh’yam.”

The former Miss South Africa and her husband tied the knot in 2000 and have three children together, uShaka Kgositsile Emmanuel Kumalo, Bontle ba Morena Jasmine Kumalo and Nkosinathi Gabriel Kumalo.

ZAlebs reported yesterday that Bassie is the new brand ambassador for Range Rover Sport. The excitement and mystery began when TV presenter, Minnie Dlamini Jones teased on her Instagram that she was on her way to surprise a very special lady with a special car and shocked everyone when she revealed that the special lady was none other than, the former Miss South Africa Basetsana Kumalo.

The media personality was seen in a video driving to Bassie’s mansion to drop off the vehicle, a Range Rover Sport SV Carbon Edition which costs a whopping R3 million and the very first and only one in the country.

A gushing Basetsana took to Instagram and posted an image of herself beside the car with the caption: “It is the very first and only one in the country and it’s in my porte cochère. Delivered by the gorgeous @minniedlamini….it’s been an amazing day!!! Supremely proud and delighted to be the Brand Ambassador for #RangeRoverSport.”

Minnie Dlamini herself is a brand ambassador for Huawei South Africa, Jaguar Land Rover South Africa amongst others. Her foundation, The Minnie Dlamini Foundation also teamed up with Jaguar Land Rover SA previously to help feed orphans and the elderly in South Africa. The Minnie Dlamini Foundation is as a charity organisation which was founded in 2014.

Jaguar Land Rover and Dlamini also called on companies, businesses or individuals to contribute to the cause by donating to the campaign especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mrs Jones penned this message: “Hunger is a daily battle in South Africa, even outside of the harsh circumstances many find themselves in at the moment.”
