In a heartwarming display of co-parenting, reality TV star and influencer Faith Nketsi and her ex-husband Nzuzo Njilo put their differences aside to celebrate their daughter Sky’s second birthday over the weekend.

A friend who witnessed the reunion shared that the couple has made significant strides in their relationship since their separation last November.

“Their relationship has evolved so much. They are happy co-parenting. It’s been amazing to watch Faith own the parenting role but also balance her life outside of being a mom,” the friend said.

Faith and Nzuzo, who tied the knot in a private traditional ceremony in April 2022, announced their separation last November.

Faith confirmed the news, stating that “No one gets married with the intention to get divorced. However, through careful consideration and mediation, we have decided to go our separate ways.”

She emphasized that Nzuzo remains an “amazing father” to their daughter, and they are committed to co-parenting.

Faith has openly expressed the profound impact motherhood has had on her life.

“You bring me so much joy, happiness, and fulfilment. I thank God for you every single day. Experiencing life with you has been a dream come true,” she wrote to Sky on her birthday.

“I see things so differently, which is such a blessing. I love being your mommy and I love creating beautiful memories with you. You’re such a sweet girl; you are so kind to others; you are so gentle; you are so funny and you have a big, beautiful personality. I don’t know how we got so lucky. No matter how much I say I love you, I always love you more than that. I may have given you life, but really you gave me mine.”

Nzuzo, too, has expressed his dedication to fatherhood.

“I live for my daughter and she is my priority – more than any relationship,” he told ZiMoja.

While the couple’s reunion for Sky’s birthday was a positive step, their separation has been marked by controversy and speculation surrounding Nzuzo’s alleged business dealings.

Faith has consistently been linked to headlines about her husband’s shady business practices, including allegations of fraud and debt.

Sunday World reported that Njilo allegedly defrauded Faith shortly after their wedding in April last year, taking the proceeds from the sale of her vehicle. Faith, however, has maintained a dignified silence on the matter, stating that she will not engage with the media about her personal life or “tell her side of the story.”

Nzuzo has faced multiple accusations of fraudulent activities, including defrauding a woman of half a million rand in a botched sale and failing to deliver goods valued at nearly R1 million to business owners.

He was also arrested for allegedly failing to pay off a debt of close to R1 million. Months earlier, he allegedly pleaded poverty when debt collectors knocked on his door to attach furniture to pay off a debt of close to R1 million.

Despite the controversies surrounding her ex-husband, Faith has shown a remarkable ability to prioritize her daughter’s well-being and create a positive co-parenting environment.
