Dr Malinga deported from Zimbabwe
Mzansi musician Dr Malinga was said to have been booked to perform in Zimbabwe recently. However, all plans went south after an event promoter failed to secure the necessary clearance and work permit which resulted in the musician getting deported, a local publication reported.
Dr Malinga was said to have been booked to perform at Ngom Primary School in Gwanda. However, the negligent promoter failed to pay attention to detail and overlooked a major part of organizing an event for a foreign artist. The Petronela hitmaker is said to have spoken out since the incident and was quoted as saying,
“Yesterday we flew to Zimbabwe but we got deported.”
“Zimbabwe sorry for that. But it was complications from your side, from promoter’s side not from my side because mina I came, he added.
Dr Malinga has come a long way from his days of crying for help on Podcast and Chill with MacG and seems to be back on his feet. During the podcast, he had broken down into tears and admitted to having financial woes in front of the world. According to ECR, at the time, he blamed his money problems on the result of having no gigs due to the covid-19 pandemic.
However, in one of his latest Twitter posts, he had social media users scratching their heads when he was seen flying first class. This is because not so long ago, the renowned musician had confessed to owing SARS (South African Revenue Services) a staggering R500 000, IOl reported.
