Superstar South African DJ and Grammy award winner Black Coffee headlined, yet again, the biggest music and art festival this past weekend in Indio, Califonia, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2022. This year, he took along himself his longtime friend Siyabonga Ngwekazi popularly known as Scoop Makhathini, and his first born son, Esona who also accompanied him at this year’s Grammy awards last month.
The electronic, dance, and house DJ went from celebrating his Grammy win with a classy dinner in Johannesburg that saw some of his industry friends and supporters from the likes of Unathi Msengana to Shawn Mkhize dress up to celebrate the DJ to entertaining thousands of Coachella Valley Music Festival attendees to an hour set at the Saraha Tent on Saturday night all in a few hours period, and had videos of him killing it as expected circulating all over the internet.
The superstar DJ shared the stage and schedule with international Hip Hop stars Baby Keem, the female group, City Girls, Big Sean, Cordae, and Slander amongst a few others. He took to Twitter to share his excitement to be performing at Coachella and shared a picture of himself, Scoop Makhathini, and Esona standing outside Coachella looking too cool for school.
