Dineo Langa shuts down pregnancy speculation – I’m Not Pregnant

Actress Dineo Langa at the weekend shared pictures from a drive-by baby shower she organised for her friend. Whilst in her captions she did mention that the celebration was for her friend many couldn’t help but that did not stop people thinking she was the one expecting.

Dineo has been keeping a low profile during the lockdown and since she went off screens after being fired from her role on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen. When it comes to her private life, Dineo doesn’t say much about it and whilst she does share snaps of herself and her husband rapper Solo that’s about it.

Last year, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony and later gave their fans a look to all that went down in a three-part wedding special KwaKuhle Kwethu, broadcast on 1Magic.

This is not the first time, Dineo has had to squash pregnancy rumours, last year she lambasted an unknown journalist for asking her if she is with pregnant.

“So there’s an idiot at Sunday World trying to claim I’m pregnant cause of a pic I took sitting with my husband. Firstly, fuck off. Number 2, I stated that I wouldn’t want to take pics because of my dress debacle. 3, kanti bavalwa nini cause re kgathetse ke masepa nyana a,” tweeted Dineo at the time

The baby shower pictures she posted at the weekend once again raised the topic of whether Mrs Langa had a bun in her oven, and she was very quick to shut it down. She even turned off the comments on her posts as people couldn’t get the message despite her caption saying that the shower was for her friend.

“Thank you so much @nono_events for curating such a beautiful drive through shower for my tsala @lebomakhubu,” captioned Dineo.

The actress then took her Instagram stories to let the “witches” know that she was not pregnant and even shared snaps of herself drinking some bubbles and she continued to laugh off the rumours.

“I’m not pregnant maqwirha ndini!” shared the actress.

South Africa’s favourite diamond broke the news of her pregnancy with the release of what we can guess as to the first of many snaps from her maternity shoot.

The star’s first maternity image is an ode to her African roots with Minnie dressed in a statement mermaid, boob-tube dress by popular wedding dress designer, Asanda Madyibi. This is the same designer that dressed her for her traditional wedding.
