Did Manaka Ranaka Just announce death of Generations: The Legacy actress Gog Flo?
There has been a lot of confusion on social media after Generations: The Legacy actress Manaka Ranaka’s Instagram post on Monday, 3rd of May, which sent shockwaves among viewers of the television soapie.
The actress – who plays the role of Lucy on the SABC 1 soapie – posted a video of her colleague Gogo Ivy Nkutha (who plays the role of Gog Flo on the same soapie) as well as a make-up artist from their make-up department.
Manaka’s caption read: “Rest easy Msizest. Dawgie nd I are gonna miss you. We are only left with memories.”
Before she knew it fans were sending messages of condolences in the comments section, distraught at the sudden passing of ‘Gog Flo’ as the legendary actress is affectionately called.
However, if one reads Manaka’s full caption it is evident that the messages of condolences were misdirected due to unnecessary confusion, and because the actress had anticipated that it would happen, she had added a disclaimer in her caption. Sadly, many did not read it.
The second part of her caption is a disclaimer to clear the air on who, between the two women in the video had passed. Manaka made it clear that Gogo Ivy Nkuthu (Gog Flo) was still alive and kicking and it was their make-up artist who had sadly passed.
The rest of her caption read as follows: “Before you get carried away, Gogo Ivy Nkutha is very much alive! Its the lady doing her makeup thats passed away, Generations Makeup Department. RIP Sizakele Sipoyo”
