Cindy Makhathini opens up about suicide
The controversial Instagram baddie, club host, and socialite Cindy Makhathini is no stranger to making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Cindy gained popularity in 2018 when she was accused of having an affair with former minister Malusi Gigaba, and recently, she found herself in the spotlight once again when her private photos were leaked on social media.

On a podcast called Engineer Your Life with Lungile KM, she spoke about her vulnerability.
“If you are a curvy lady, people will want to lust on you. I’m not trying to be a good influence on anyone. I just advice kids not to look up to me. I’m doing my thing for me,” she said.
Cindy openly discussed her personal struggles and revealed that her most significant pains stemmed from relationships.
“I make sure that I’m fully healed before I go out there. I don’t like being weak, but I am a weak girl. I go through a lot and cry,” she said.
The club host said she almost committed suicide in 2021 because of a relationship.
“That showed me that I don’t have self-love and when I was healing, I learned to choose me first. When I have healed, I said no man, he doesn’t deserve me. I am too hot. I am not putting someone first anymore. I have tried. When I love I love hard, and my man always comes first,” she said.
Cindy revealed that because of her her caring nature, she often receives messages from strangers sharing their problems.
She said she encourages others to prioritize self-love and warns against relying too heavily on family members’ opinions, as they might discourage personal growth.
“Everyone needs confidence. I am where I am today because of my confidence,” she said.
She criticized social media, stating that it sells perfection.
“We judge people on Instagram because they feed us their lifestyle. Just be yourself. I don’t do that. I just flex with my body,” she said.
