Cassper Nyovest: I’m The King Around Here

Award-winning musician, Cassper Nyovest, is once again letting the South African music industry know who he is. The self-proclaimed King has trailed blazed through the industry with his unique beats which many have claimed has been copied by his counterparts. One fan in particular made note of the that, letting him know that they are aware of the unnecessary hate that has been given to him, purely because of who he is.

Cassper quickly responded to the fan and acknowledged the behaviour he has seen from trolls, who allegedly do not give him the respect he deserves. He stated, “I’m used to all that dawg. Dissed me for rapping on piano and now they all on the sound. I am the King around here. I say that with my chest out!!! They gone keep on following and ima keep moving!!! The key is to keep working and keep trying while they keep talking and copying.”

His reference to his piano songs which were heavily criticized caused for his fans to reminisce to those days, which they claimed was completely unfair. Stokie Jnr tweeted, “You were light years ahead of your time. That’s why you get hate. The others rap over auto tune with weak beats that all sound the same. Give you some respect!!”.

Tshepo Makhaphela also commented with, “Yabona futhi this part ye piano I strongly agree. I remember them dissing.”, to which Cass responded with, “Hard even. They won’t admit it by I set the tone, the sound, the mood of the game. I’m sitting comfortably in my throne and I know my role. They can’t fuck with me now. Ke dangerous!!!”.

Fans even began reminding him about his upcoming boxing match with AKA, which many believe is his biggest rival in the game. Mufasa tweeted back with, “Trust me, nobody is looking forward to this fight more than me. I cannot wait!!!! Yoh!!!!”.

In a recent interview with Slikour on Onlife Radio the rapper said he has been training very hard to defeat AKA. The rappers decided that they will get into the boxing ring and settle their beef. The pair have been beefing for so several years now and their feud dates back to 2014 when Cassper said his song Doc Shebeleza was the biggest song in the South African hip hop industry.

When Slikour told him that AKA has also been posting videos of him at the gym Cassper dissed him and said he is not even boxing and said he punches like Connie Ferguson. “That’s not even boxing bro, that’s like Connie Ferguson does that stuff… I’m really gonna hurt him,” he said.
