Candice Modiselle Comes To Idols SA’s Defense

There comes a time when people are enough about a particular show. Could this be the case with Idols SA? On Sunday evening SA Idols debuted their 16th season, and as expected, mixed views were shared on social media.

A lot of fans have been waiting in anticipation for the new season. Judging from social media comments the show was widely watched across the country. New guest judge Cassper Nyovest also brought that thing to the judging panel, making it more colorful and fun. On the other hand though, some were not impressed. Giving Zozibini’s sister a golden ticket also left many questioning the credibility of the judges.

One Twitter user came up with a petition idea to ban the Idols. Her tweet was received differently with some agreeing with her and others thinking otherwise. One of those who does not agree with Idols SA getting canned is Candice Modiselle. The actress and media personality mentioned the job losses that will be incurred should the show get banned. Candice therefore encouraged those who don’t like Idols SA to simply stop watching it instead.

“Sis, let me educate you… Yeah sure, you don’t like the show, but you’re also asking to “ban” the cast & crew that eat off of this production. Don’t forget that for many, it’s employment, not just some frivolous piece of entertainment you no longer enjoy. Just don’t watch,” she said.
