Bonang Endorses New Miss South African
Bonang Matheba is arguably one of the authorities when it comes to the South African media space, and the Queen B* took to Twitter to publicly endorse newly crowned Miss SA, Shudufhadzo Musida, amidst the backlash received of the beauty.

To call it backlash might be an exaggeration, but Shudufhadzo has been receiving mixed reviews as the new Miss SA. The first matter that the beauty queen needs to do is attempt to forge a reign that is not cast in the shadow of Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi. This is proving a mammoth task even for Shudufhadzo, just like it did with the Miss South African 2019, Sasha-Lee Olivier. Shdufhadzo is currently dealing with comparisons from South Africans between her and Zozibini.
A second matter that Miss South Africa needs to consider is her social media etiquette. Part of Miss South Africa is deciding what your legacy is going to be. Currently, looking at her social media feed, Shadufhadzo’s timelines do not suggest an interaction with her fans. The relationship seems one sided, with the only interaction she does is when shared and interacted with, by now-fellow popular media personalities.
Part of being a memorable Miss South Africa is social interactions, which was the reason that Shudufhadzo first faced backlash as Miss South Africa hopeful. A matter that has recurred following her win, as she has yet addressed the matter. However, maybe Shudufhadzo end game is not to be the people’s Miss South Africa, but a certain tax brackets’ Miss South Africa; hence the support from the celebrities like Bonang Matheba and Limpopo’s very own, Makhadzi.
Makhadzi was one of the attendees during the second day of Shudufhadzo’s homecoming tour of Limpopo. The celebrations during the homecoming have been spectacular from the visuals shared. But the best moment so far for the beauty queen was having a ceremony to honor her grandparents. One moment in particular that touched her so much was when they sang her late grandmother’s favourite hymn, with Shudufhadzo giving a little praise dance.
They just performed my grandmother’s song ?❤️?the homecoming feels complete now ???

It is still early days for Shudufhadzo, but the good sis needs to start considering what kind of support she has and wants. The beauty queen has still to compete at the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants and having the unequivocal support of her country is paramount. Therefore the coming months will prove telling because if she leaves without the support, and comes back still Miss SA; the question becomes what will her legacy be, and will it be memorable.
