Battle Of the Kings And Queens As Tweeps Compare Queen Sono To Kings Of Joburg

This morning some of us woke up to Kings of Joburg dominating the Twitter trends list, as Twitter users were weighing their opinions on which series is their fighter between the show and Queen Sono.

This major debate was sparked by the shocking cancellation of Queen Sono season due to COVID-19 related challenges. A director of the star-studded series confirmed the news in a statement, which has since left die-hard fans of the show fuming. “We wrote a beautiful story that spanned the continent but unfortunately could not be executed in these current trying times,” said Kagiso Lediga, Director (Diprente).

Now a petition was recently started by a fan who called for a reversible decision to be taken against the cancelation of the show. “Queen Sono deserves a reversible decision on its recent cancellation. Please reconsider your decision, many loyal fans were supporting this SA classic, there was more story for sure. #SaveQueenSono,” tweeted the fan.

Pearl Thusi echoed the same sentiments when she tweeted, “BRING BACK QUEEN SONO PETITION HERE!” This morning Twitter users got to a point of comparing Queen Sono to Kings of Joburg, and some argued that they should not be compared.

A Twitter user tweeted a picture of Kings of Joburg and Queen Sono and asked fans which series would they rather watch between the two. Kings of Joburg got more retweets compared to Queen Sono’s likes, proving that it won the hearts of many viewers and left them captivated.
