Babes Wodumo has returned to social media platform

This is not a drill, Babes Wodumo has returned to social media platform Instagram after close to a year of not posting on her account. Since her last post on her page, the Gqom Queen’s fans have seen her on her partner Mampintsha’s Instagram page and not hers.

Babes’ last posted on her Instagram account was in September 2019 but even before she left the photo-sharing platform, she experienced her fair share of drama.

She used the account to expose her boyfriend’s abusive ways by going live on Instagram. The video went viral and saw the couple heading to court with Mampintsha facing assault charges, the charges were later dropped, and they worked out their issues outside of court.

The viral video came a year after Babes was confronted about being abused by Mampintsha during a live radio interview on Metro FM by Masechaba Ndlovu. During the interview, Masechaba asked Babes about being abused by the famous musician. The couple have since made-up since that incident and according to posts on Mampintsha’s Instagram, the couple is very much in love and focusing on their music.

Babes’ departure from Instagram came shortly after her Twitter account was allegedly hacked. The hackers caused quite the stir resulting in the Gqom star trending for all the wrong reasons.

The hackers leaked a video clip of Lady Zamar during her appearance as a guest judge on Idols SA. In the video, a voice that sounds like Babes Wodumo’s is heard mocking the Collide hitmaker because of her acne and is calling her all kinds of unpleasant names and friends are also be heard be laughing.

Babes’ took to Instagram to clarify that she had been hacked and was not the person posting from the Twitter account, she also had to clarify that she was not the one behind rude tweets directed at Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula and Pearl Thusi. The twitter account has since been deleted.

The musician never gave an actual reason for her break on Instagram, but just one day stopped posting from the verified account with 2.2 million followers and following the release of her second album Idandokazi, this is a great time for her return.
