Anele Mdoda snubs Bonang Matheba from List of Achievers
What seemed like a moment where a successful woman was acknowledging other black people who are doing great things in the industry, quickly turned left when Bonang Matheba was excluded. It is no secret that the two women do not get a long, and they never tried to hide that.
Anele Mdoda took to Twitter to acknowledge and give a shout out to some of the celebrities who are doing major things in the industry. Noticeably Bonang was excluded from that list and the B-Force came for her. Queen B has a great deal of accolades under her belt and the most recent one being her new luxurious Prestige Reserve from House of BNG which she unveiled at the Sun Met .
Her tweet read: “Minnie hosting the Mzansi awards, Somizi and Mohale’s wedding on Showmax, Unathi about to be back on radio, Lorna shutting down cooking seminars around the world, Sindi Dlatu acting her damn eyeballs off, Melody hosting daily thetha…y’ all are winning and I love to see it !!!!
Of course not everyone was impressed with her completely ignoring Bonang. However with the limited word count and the fact that her own sister Thembisa Mdoda was not included, others did not see that as taking a slight dig at Bonang.
Lol your hate for Bonang is deep
But she'll keep on shining ✨— Kgomotso Mojalefa ? (@Vuyelo_Rikhotso) February 20, 2020
Bonang and Anele have been going toe-to-toe with each other, dating back to when it was alleged that Anele never wanted to interview B on her SABC 3 show. However, Anele shut that rumour down by suggesting that it was infact Queen B who refused.
Here are some of the reactions:
