Anele Mdoda: Cassper’s sneakers saved my life
South African media personality Anele Mdoda left many of her fans feeling very concerned after she shared a photo of herself in a moon boot on Instagram. Speaking on her 94.7 breakfast show, she bizarrely explained that she was involved in a minor car accident but was saved by her shoe – which just happens to be Cassper Nyovest’s 990 sneakers.
The Breakfast Club radio host Anele Mdoda had a harrowing experience while waiting for her man to fetch her from the airport. Speaking on her show this morning, Anele shared how she was run over by someone but did not sustain serious injuries after she was saved by the shoes she was wearing – a pair of Cassper Nyovest’s Drip collaboration 990 sneakers.
According to Anele who first shared a snap of herself in a moon boot early on Monday morning this week, she had just returned from an Eastern Cape trip where she was visiting her family.
“I am, waiting to get picked up [by my boyfriend] and now I’m standing where everyone is standing, waiting to get picked up. The next thing, I feel the biggest pressure forcing me to the ground. It is the most bizarre feeling, so I think ‘oh I’m getting mugged’, so I turn to grab whoever is mugging me”.
“Then I’m on the floor and I’m wondering what is going on. The next thing I feel my right foot is just stuck. I’m trying to move it, but it’s stuck. Now I can’t move my entire body, but there’s something on top of me. Guys did I not get hit by a car!” she said
She also explained how the shoes she was wearing prevented the car from moving any further on her body and causing any more harm. She was so impressed with them that she called Cassper and told him to listen to the show so he could hear her retelling the story of how his shoes saved her life.
It was a Cassper Nyovest 990., I actually called him yesterday and told him to listen to the show today. It’s got quite a sole and that’s why the car couldn’t climb onto it. The shoe is that strong.”
foot wasn’t broken. She did however reveal that she was left with a huge wound after she was dragged onto the tar by the car.
“It’s not broken, in fact, I think the moon boot is a bit of an overkill, but the doctor didn’t want me to go home, the one that I saw. The biggest bruise is the skin scrape which is just 4cm above my ankle. There’s a huge wound,” she said.
