AKA is currently taking a little break from social media ahead of the release of what is meant to be the EP that save South African hip-hop, “Bhovamania.” But it seems that while the man of the Forbes clan might be taking it easy, the women of the Forbes clan are doing anything but resting.

This past weekend, Keirnan “AKA” Forbes’ mother; Lynn Frobes has been busier than ever. The celebrity grandmother to her granddaughter, Kairo Forbes, was on full granny and manager form. First, it was taking Kairo to her first horse riding lesson. This is part of the endorsement between the Forbes brand and Waterfall Equestrian.

Lynn in the images she shared made it clear that age is nothing but a number as she served looks while posing with the horses. She did manage to throw in one image of baby Kairo riding the horse at the end, because ultimately it was about the daughter of AKA and DJ Zinhle, and not so much about our favourite glammy. In the same vein, Lynn concluded her post on their visit with the caption; “Kairo can’t wait to start her pony riding lessons with Tatum, and I can’t wait to spend more time with the horses.”

The granny-and-daughter duo continued their fan throughout the week. One of their activities from this past weekend was the duos participation on Halloween celebration. Lynn’s last story is showcasing Kairo not giving her break due to the little one still riding her sugar rush. It seems that glammy had a long night ahead of her with Kairo showing no signs of going to sleep any time soon.

Another activity they did together was the Ithemba walk-a-thon. The walk-a-thon comes as the South African wraps up Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is commemorated every year in the month of October.

Explaining the purpose of the campaign, Lynn writes that, “I have walked 8km for Breast Cancer awareness! Breast cancer is real and can affect anyone including men and young people. Know your facts, do regular examinations for early detection and let’s fight breast cancer together!”

The post went on to encourage that everyone join the fight against cancer and to bring awareness. In detailing the difference in experience of the walk this, Lynn went on to state that; “For many years but this year was very special as it was a virtual walk. Thank you to everyone who made the effort.”
