Actress Thuso Mbedu bags recognition from the American Film Institute
Thuso Mbedu celebrated being recognised by the American Film Institute at the AFI Awards 2021.
The South African star was recognized for contributing to the American cultural legacy through her role in the movie series, The Underground Railroad.
“Thank you @americanfilminstitute for an amazing morning surrounded by immensely talented people who have contributed so beautifully to the industry. So awe-inspiring,” she captioned snaps from the event.
Meanwhile, Thuso was recently celebrated by South Africans and friends abroad for winning for the first time, female performance in a new scripted series at the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
