Actress Kgomotso Christopher Celebrates Her Son’s Big Achievement

Legacy star Kgomotso Christopher is a proud mom. The award-winning actress today took to Instagram to celebrate her son Lesika Christopher’s big achievement. Lesika has attained his Concert Status at the popular Drakensburg Choir School.

The proud mom shared her son’s special moment saying she hopes that her baby boy will write a book one day about his journey.

“…it’s his story to tell…a story of overcoming adversity…of never giving up…of never losing faith…of triumph! This is my Son.”

Expressing her excitement, Kgomotso said her family is beyond proud of the young man.
“Congratulations Lesikaleatile @lesika.christopher on attaining your Concert Status at the World Renowned Drakensburg Choir School. Proud doesn’t even begin to capture how we feel as your family….yes I’m that mom….ke ya Lilizela and ululate and embarrass you at school…Shaaaaaté!!!” she wrote.

Taking to the comments section to congratulate the star of the moment, Phikelela said she also prays that her son makes it to the choir, “Kgomotso_christopher, and I thought I was the only one who has a dream of seeing my son in a school choir especially at the Drakensberg. Can already see my son in the uniform even though he is just 4yrs old.”

Actress and Producer Lala Tuku also responded”Ohhh bathong our Little Lesika. Incredibly proud of you. You go on ahead and be GREAT my boy. Congratulations mommy and Fam. Always doing and wanting the best for your little ones.”

Kgomotso’s daughter Larona is also a rising child star. Baby girl made her TV debut on Mzansi’s top soapie Scandal last year.

Reacting to her daughter’s breath-taking performance, Kgomotso said on Instagram, “The most difficult scenes to do as an actor are the ones without dialogue, without a co-actor…throw in the fact that you aren’t an actor and extremely shy. So proud of my little one who accepted the challenge of helping mommy tell her character’s story for a few seconds on screen.”

Last month, Kgomotso celebrated her Mother’s 75th birthday. Taking to Instagram, she said, “I’m finding it hard to post and share reflections of happiness in a world full of loss and uncertainty and pain…I really am.”

She said they almost didn’t celebrate her mom’s special day because she did not want anything big because of the COVID pandemic. “Celebrating the Queen Mother…75 years strong! Her friends, the grandkids, the kids, the niece and nephew, the Mamazala got you and surprised you,” Kgomotso wrote.
