Actress Buhle Samuels (Matshidiso) speaks on Muvhango
Muvhango viewers’ favourite actress Buhle Samuels says the show ending was a bittersweet moment. The Muvhango star Buhle Samuels who plays Matshidiso tells Sunday World that the soapie gave birth to her acting career.
“It has been such a beautiful process. It gave birth to my career. I love them so much and I am so grateful to be part of the show at the various stages.”
“I am a more chilled girl and Matshidiso teaches me some things that you can use in a positive way, but we are definitely very different.”
The Kings of Joburg star returned to the SABC2 earlier this year alongside Sydney Ramakuwela who plays Mulalo Mukwevho.

Following the season finale of Muvhango the SABC is broadcasting the retro episodes of the Tshivenda soapie.
Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela revealed on Monday, 8 July that the show is not cancelled.
“As I reported, the production had to shut down due to delays on the contract for the new season. This is a developing situation, and I will share it when it is finalised. But, by all accounts, the show will continue,” he added.
Zimoja reported in November 2023 that actors and crew from the soapie were left frustrated as they have reportedly not been paid since September before production break.
A source from production told the publication that actors and crew are about to lose their homes and cars due to non-payments.
“We have been on a production break since September and have still not been paid our salaries from before we went on a break. We are not getting any answers, which shows that we work like slaves at the hands of someone respected in the showbiz industry.”
Muvhango spokesperson Ndumi Mdletshe refused to comment on the matter when she was contacted by the publication.
