Actress and television presenter Nonhle Thema is growing old in 16 days and Mzansi is surprised by her age. Nonhle has always been the darling of South African media and at a point was the biggest Zaleb in the country. In two weeks she will be turning 40-years-old. One would be forgiven for thinking that Thema was still in her early 30s.
The former V Entertainment presenter has been rumoured to be pregnant following her recent glow. However, she quickly turned down those claims.
Thema was dubbed to be South Africa’s biggest export to the world. However, things did not go as anticipated and she fell from grace. She revealed that her dream to be a global superstar has now ended. Now she is content and focused on living her best life.
“My focus when I was young was to be a TV star and I ended up being a global star. I’m content now cos all my dreams happened in my 20s. I sometimes feel I have no dreams cos I smashed them all in my 20s. I’m now just living. I have different dreams now as I head to 40. I did it all in my 20sm nothing new to me now” She posted.
In 2020 Nonhle made her return to television after joining South African telenovela Gomora. She starred as Cleopatra. A 30-year-old, skilful, untrustworthy and manipulative con artist, who was poverty-stricken growing up. Her mother worked as a domestic worker and her father worked as a gardener.
She and her siblings lived in an RDP house that Cleo inherited. This caused her and her siblings to fight amongst each other as they never understood why she inherited the house. Using her beauty as her weapon to scheme men, she also tricks people into joining her pyramid schemes then later stealing their money.
Speaking about scamming people and losing money, reality television star Inno claimed that former YFM DJ Sammy Sosa ran away with his money. He questioned whether she has any remorse. “Like no ways, doesn’t she have a little bit of swaba?”
According to his tweets, the money is from his late mother and was supposed to pay for her feature for Inno’s record.
“Ausi since 2016 ong kolota. Haona even 1% of Shame at least? 20K (R20 000.00) when are you paying me my money. I’m not fighting kea botsa. Plus you’re collaborating with FNB, you’re where the money resides, things are nice. Lenna I want to be like you, pls my money @Sam_lehoko,” he tweeted.
He asked her to at least communicate and make arrangements to pay back the money. “At least communicate or reach out if you can’t pay me the full amount & arrange or tell me when you’ll pay. Communicate, show human decency but to block me after sending a guy on a call who apparently was a gangster to threaten me in 2016 when I asked for my money? Won’t forget!” He added.
