Actor Sipho Ndlovu speaks out after spending weekend in jail for ‘beating’ ex-girlfriend

Popular South African actor Sipho Ndlovu is back home after he spent a weekend in jail due to his former girlfriend of seven months, Thandeka Mhlanga, accusing him of assault.

The actor was arrested on Friday by Douglasdale police after Thandeka opened an assault case against him. Sipho laid three charges against her, leading to her being arrested and spending a night in jail before being released on R1,000 bail.

Thandeka set tongues wagging on social media recently when she shared images of her bruised face.

According to Zimoja, Thandeka travelled to Sipho’s Fourways home late at night after being suspicious about him cheating. She claimed he slapped her, pushed her to the ground, and shut the gate in her face.

Speaking to the publication, Sipho said he did not want to comment on the matter and asked the media to refer to his police case.

“All these things, from the lies to the calls, it’s all draining. I’m trying to work, I’m at work now and I need to read my script.”
