1. The 27 year old actress was born in KwaZulu-Natal, Durban

2. Sibongiseni Shezi graduated from AFDA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Live Performance Cum Laude.

3. Immediately after completing her studies, Shezi, auditioned for a lead role on Uzalo. Shezi aced her performance and landed the role of Hleziphi.

4. She started off as a high school student, now her character has grown and together with her man Njeza, they are taking the crime world by storm. Hleziphi is the queen who is always standing by her King.

5. In 2019, Sibongiseni won the Best Actress in a Feature Film for her stand out performance in the AFDA Durban 2018 experimental film Run, at the Simon Sabela Awards.

6. Again in 2019, she started working on feature films, landing the the lead role in the South African feature film, Tokoloshe-The Calling, directed by AFDA lecturer Richard Green.
